The world begins to pay the price for centuries of unchecked consumption. Valuable minerals are becoming critically scarce. As the industrial, energy, and defense sectors face growing shortages, humanity turns its eyes toward space for the first time in earnest. Space mining is no longer a dream. It is a necessity.

A scientist discovers a wormhole at the edge of the Solar System. After years of research, it is determined that the structure is stable and traversable. This discovery fundamentally changes humanity's place in the universe.

Analysis of data recovered from the first wormhole made it possible to identify similar structures extending across spacetime. Subsequent unmanned probes dispatched to investigate these anomalies detected an energy-emitting celestial body classified as a moon in a distant star system. Initial scans indicated that the object could contain a substantial energy source.
