Turn a handful of cards into a thriving society of misfits. The Understack Society is a card-based survival game where you gather supplies, craft equipment and build a settlement while keeping your unusual citizens alive.

Everyone needs feeding. Your table has limited space. And something dangerous is waiting beyond the gate.

Put a citizen to work on a Bramble Patch to gather "Gloomberries". Combine resources to craft tools, cook meals and build everything from humble stores to productive workshops.

A new recruit means another pair of hands, and another mouth to feed. Decide what to build, what to sell and what to save for supper. When each night ends, there needs to be enough food for everyone.

Choose your first citizen and recruit a cast of strange characters, each with different strengths. Equip them for the dangers ahead and turn your growing collection of cards into a home they can survive in.

Sell spare cards for Brass and spend it on mysterious Card Parcels. Each parcel offers a different assortment of possible finds, from food and building supplies to resources for your next expedition.

Choose a parcel to suit your plans, then see what its contents make possible.

Venture beyond the Courtyard into the Docks and Hollows to find new resources and face new threats.

Craft weapons and armour, equip your citizens and bring them together against dangerous enemies. Battles play out automatically, so preparation matters. As the nights pass, you’ll need more than a well-stocked pantry to protect your society.
