About This Game

The world does not pause when you leave

Stand Eternal is a persistent civilization MMO. One world, no shards, no server list, no pause button. You found a noble House on the outer marches and push inward toward a mythic centre that everyone else wants too.

While you are offline your heroes keep working. They harvest, build, eat, sleep and defend. Come back the next morning and you might find a finished granary, or a ruined keep and a story about the night it happened.

You set priorities, not orders

Heroes are not units you drag into a box. Each one has needs, skills and a schedule. You tell them what matters and they work out the rest: who chops wood, who mans the tower at dusk, who drops everything when the granary runs empty.

A hungry hero feeds himself before he takes your order. A watchman on night duty sleeps through the day. Get the priorities wrong and you find out slowly, which is the point.

One map, and it is the only one

Every player lives on the same seamless world. Five concentric rings run from the wild outer marches to a contested centre, and moving inward means better land, richer resources and worse neighbours.

No instancing. No matchmaking. No parallel realm where your rival cannot reach you.

Territory you can lose

Land is claimed with banners planted out from your Keep. PvP is always on, everywhere, but nobody appears out of nowhere: an attacker has to share a border with you. Wars happen along frontiers you can watch coming.

Trade travels on the map

There is no auction house and no global market. Every trade between players is a caravan that physically crosses the world, and every caravan can be intercepted. The road between two allies is a real place, and so is the ambush on it.

Alliances with teeth

An alliance holds up to forty Houses and takes one of three stances toward everyone else: war, peace or allied. Allied makes combat between you mechanically impossible. War does not. The shared treasury is a real building standing in someone's territory, which means it can be raided.

No pay to win. A design constraint, not a slogan.

Stand Eternal is subscription only, with regional pricing so the cost matches where you live.

No paid heroes. No timer skips. No resources for sale. No combat advantage of any kind. No paid exclusive cosmetics either: every cosmetic in the game is earned by playing it.

The business model is deliberately one that whales cannot rescue, because a game funded by whales gets designed for whales.

Play it anywhere

Steam, iOS and Android are all primary platforms with the same gameplay and one account. The phone in your pocket and the PC on your desk look at the same world.

Key features

  • A single persistent world shared by every player, running 24 hours a day

  • Heroes with real needs, schedules and autonomy, driven by priorities instead of orders

  • Keep progression across thirty tiers, each widening your territory and your roster

  • Base defense built from walls, gates, traps and manned archer towers

  • Banner territory with a frontier requirement, so attacks come from neighbours rather than from nowhere

  • Caravan-only trade across a map where cargo can be taken

  • Formal alliances up to forty Houses, with war, peace and allied states

  • A hero catalog with rarities, stars and per-hero skill trees

  • Day and night cycles that change what is safe to do outside

  • Subscription only, zero pay to win, cross-platform from day one

One developer, building in the open

Stand Eternal is made by one person under the name Eternal Forge. That is an odd thing to say about an MMO, so here is the reasoning: the scope leans on conflict between players rather than hand-authored content, the server runs on tech built for exactly this shape of problem, and the subscription model does not need a marketing department to survive.

Development is posted publicly as it happens, including what breaks. Wishlist it to hear the day the first playable build opens.
