Garrick Quill of the Ledgers is keeping score. The top 100 pirates by level stand on the Royal Ledger, and every first gets written down: the first to reach levels 10, 20 and 30, and the first crew to bring down each named boss. Claim one and the whole server hears your name.

Pirate Royalty is a free-to-play pirate fantasy MMORPG where every advantage is won in play. At launch, the shop sells cosmetics only: no equipment, no Royal Doubloons, no faster leveling, no better drops and no better odds at the Forge.

A hurricane dragged four feuding pirate factions to the same stretch of ocean and smashed their fleets on an unfamiliar island. Rena "The Banished" Clifton pulled as many survivors from the waves as her small fleet could carry, and they named her Pirate Queen for it: a title she never asked for and doesn't fully trust.

Now you're one of the few she relies on. Hold the island together, win over the Blackwater Buccaneers, the Ledgers, the Stormclaws and the Fairwinds, and find out why the storm brought everyone here.

CHOOSE YOUR CALLING

• Nautical Bandit: hold the front line and refuse to fall.

• Ocean Scout: track your prey and strike from a distance.

• Pirate Mage: pull raw power from the ocean itself.

• Acolyte: keep your allies standing with remedies stranger than they look.

Build it your way. Every level hands you stat points to spend across Might, Grit, Swiftness, Precision and Tideforce. Skill books and branching skill trees do the rest, so two pirates with the same training can end up nothing alike.

Prove it at level 9. Each class faces its own trial. Pass it and you earn your place among those who already bear your class title.

HUNT LOOT WORTH FIGHTING FOR

No two drops are equal. Gear rolls its stats, so an ordinary-looking blade might be the best thing you ever find. Every creature and boss is another roll of the dice, and during Next Fest the dice come up five times as often.

Risk it at the Forge. Open sockets, fuse matching gems into stronger stones and set them into your gear. Every success raises the stakes, and a forged weapon glows with its gem's color so the whole harbor can see what you gambled.

LIVE OFF THE LAND: GATHERING & COOKING

The hurricane took the rations too. Learn life skills from the bookseller at Rena's Rest and feed yourself the way the Stormclaws always have.

Gather. Strike salt crystals from the beaches with your pickaxe, and pick Saltgrass and Tideleaf by hand. Every node is shared and the first pirate to reach it takes the harvest, so keep your boots moving.

Cook. Break open the sealed recipe notes that island creatures carry, then fire up the camp cookpots. Crab chowder, hearty hotpot, draughts and teas restore HP and SP when a fight turns ugly.

Trade. Every batch burns a recipe sheet, so a well-stocked cook is worth knowing. Feed your crew, or sell your surplus to pirates who would rather fight than forage.

TURN SPOILS INTO UPGRADES

One pirate's junk is another's jackpot. List eligible gear, gems and supplies on the public marketplace for Royal Doubloons, then shop for the piece your build is missing. Valuable items and Doubloons can't pass through private trades or gifts, so every deal stays fair.

FIGHT TOGETHER, SHARE FAIRLY

Every contribution counts. Damage, defense, healing and protection all earn experience and kill-quest progress, whether you're in a crew or just lending a hand.

No loot stealing. Pirates who contribute take turns receiving drops. Your assigned prize is yours, and no last hit or fast click can take it.

Stay connected. Local and World chat, plus private whispers, keep the island talking.

Rena kept these pirates alive through the storm. Whether they stay together is up to you.
