Across the distant systems, the ancient Vorg Cartels thrive - trading in fear, contraband, secrets and control.

Jax Corden, a former Imperial Enforcer turned mercenary for hire, follows the vanishing trail of his partner Lira Voss, abducted after intercepting forbidden cargo logs.

Shot down over Noor Shadiq, a cartel-run city-moon choked by smoke and industrial decay, Jax crash-lands into a world built to bury secrets.

Hunted, wounded and alone, he begins his search.

The Lost Missions of Jax Corden combines first-person combat with exploration, investigation and environmental storytelling in a retro-inspired science-fiction adventure.

Fight through cartel territory, search abandoned industrial districts, follow fragmented evidence and uncover a conspiracy reaching far beyond Lira's disappearance.

His search will take him far beyond the streets of Noor Shadiq, into places where cartel power, Imperial influence and older forces begin to overlap.

ROOTED IN PULP ADVENTURE

The Lost Missions of Jax Corden is conceived as a spiritual successor to the space-fantasy serials of the late 1930s and the adventure shooters of the late 1990s.

Its creative roots lie in the fast-moving pulp adventure of Buck Rogers and Alex Raymond's Flash Gordon, combined with pulp noir, hardboiled crime fiction and the darker, grittier atmosphere of classic science-fiction cinema.

The result is an original universe of exotic worlds, criminal syndicates, corrupt institutions, mystery, danger and larger-than-life adventure.

A LOST CHAPTER

In the Clutches of the Vorg is Episode 9 of The Lost Missions of Jax Corden.

The numbering is not simply a stylistic or marketing device. Jax Corden exists within a larger serial continuity, with storylines developed for the events that precede Episode 9, as well as the episodes and adventures that follow it.

The intention is to evoke the feeling of discovering one surviving chapter from a much larger pulp science-fiction serial - a world that existed before the player arrived, and continues beyond this episode.
