What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to develop Sheep Go! with the community. The game is still in development, with more content to create and existing systems to refine. Early Access lets players try its combat and build combinations while giving us feedback on combat feel, balance and level design. We hope to use that feedback to help shape further development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last approximately three months, with the full 1.0 release planned for January 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, we plan to expand the range of builds and playable sheep forms, unlock more levels and bosses in the town, and add more NPCs and side stories. We also aim to develop more complex combat interactions and more striking combat presentation. These are our current development goals, and their scope and implementation may evolve as development progresses and we learn from player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the farm and some town levels, with both four-legged and standing sheep forms. Players can experience the core action roguelite gameplay: fight enemies, challenge bosses and combine upgrades to try different builds. The game is not yet content-complete. Additional town levels, forms, NPCs and side stories are still in development, while balance, combat feel and presentation continue to be refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may gradually increase the price as new content and features are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use the Steam Discussion forums to collect bug reports and feedback on builds, balance, combat feel and levels. Players are welcome to share their experiences, ideas and any issues they encounter. We will consider this feedback alongside our development goals when prioritizing improvements, and use Steam announcements to share development progress and update notes.”

About This Game

Be a different kind of sheep

Sheep Go! is a single-player action roguelite with a soft felt look. Set out to rescue Mum, discover unexpected encounters along the way, and find new abilities to make your own. Take on each challenge with horns, fists, wool and pupil powers.

Through the farm and town

Adventure through two distinct areas, from the farm to the town. The farm offers countryside sights familiar to a sheep, while the town opens up a new world of streets and buildings. Explore this soft felt world, face the enemies in your path and discover unexpected encounters as you keep searching for Mum.

Headbutt, or stand up and throw punches

Fight on all fours with your horns, or stand up for close combat with combos and guards. Dodge incoming attacks, use your pupil powers and strike while enemies recover. Read their windups, find your position and make the next hit count.

More than one way to build a sheep

Combine the upgrades you find and give each run a different fighting style:
  • Heavy strikes and shockwaves: charge a powerful hit, then reach more distant enemies with a forward shockwave.
  • Wool balls and ricochets: bounce wool off walls, split it on impact, or merge smaller balls into a larger one and send it rolling again.
  • Static and lightning: charge your wool and wool balls, then combine electrical buildup with lightning strikes.
  • Gaze and lasers: control enemies with your eyes, or follow the eye-laser upgrade path for multiple beams and blasts triggered by kills.
  • Sheep echoes and giant sheep: have an echo follow up your melee attacks, or summon a giant sheep and meet it head-on to send it back into the fight.
Find the interactions you enjoy and build your own rhythm between close combat, ranged wool balls and pupil powers.

Take a breather at the Sheep Temple

Between adventures, return to the Sheep Temple and meet its opinionated priests. Hear the “divine wisdom” of Apaka, the Sheep God, as interpreted by Momie. Visit Huanmie to choose your form for the next adventure, talk about your travels with Damie, then head through the gate. Even your resting place has encounters of its own.

Pick a route. Try a new combination.

Choose rewards and routes through a world of soft, thick felt, facing different enemies and bosses along the way. Adapt to the upgrades you find, discover new combinations with each attempt, and keep searching for Mum.
