About This Game

You wash up on a half-forgotten island with nothing in hand, and a fuzzy memory of the night before. The only one around to explain anything is Doug... a talking blob of mercury who's been waiting a very long time for someone to help him get his playground back.

With an old rod from Doug and a tin of worms, you set off into the mainland to see what lies ahead.

Doug's playground was taken by a King named Roland nearly 650 years ago, and the King accepts payment only one way: fish something up and offer it to the well his people came from. Piece by piece the playground returns, and the sleepy island around it starts to wake up too.

Fishing that feels intuitive

  • Watch for the fish to bite, keep the fish in the catch zone, and manage the line so that it doesn't snap. Every catch is a small, engaging game of tug-of-war.

  • Dozens of fish species across saltwater, and freshwater habitats. From common fish, all the way up to gold, and exotic tiers, with weight categories to boot.

  • The clock matters. some fish only bite during night time, keep an eye out because you never know what you may fish up.

  • Drop crab traps along shallow tide pools to catch shellfish and use them for recipes, and profit.

  • Everything you obtain is automatically logged via the "Findex".

Bring the island back

  • Offer your catches to King Roland to earn Doug's playground back little by little. The more you offer, the more the world changes, and the more the world changes, and people return? The more secrets start to unravel...

  • Take on favors from the locals to earn reputation amongst the village. The more you are loved, the better your pricing is, and the easier it is for you to progress.

  • Follow the thread of the Muck's well, and the prior King that seeped down beneath the tide surrounding it.

Slow days, small comforts

  • Got something you might want to cook up? Talk with Geraldine in her home, each meal gives your player a temporary edge, useful for completing the entries in your Findex

  • Over time, you unlock upgrades to your bait, fishing rods, crab traps, and rarities / sizes of fish in return for upgrading them!

  • Mulbus the Mage has a special pocket dimension with your name on it, fully customizable with furniture obtained from Woody, the Woodshop's Keeper, assuming you're up to the task of obtaining it...

  • Grow gardens of crops with Francis the Farmer, and shear the sheep in Taylor the tailor's pen, there is much to do around town to help the folks that need it!

Make it your own

  • Build your character from scratch, and dial in the look that makes you... you!

  • Earn all cosmetics by playing, not a single cent is to be paid to look good!

  • Bring along a companion that suites your needs, word on the street is that Mulbus has a wide variety to suite what you may be seeking...
