Why Early Access?

“We are releasing in early access because while the game provides hours of fun and challenges, I believe there is more yet to squeeze out of SPLEEN before I consider it to be in a truly 1.0 state.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm looking to have SPLEEN ready for 1.0 by Christmas 2027.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will most likely have more biomes, challenges, random events, play modes, and maybe even multiplayer support.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state is a fully playable, full featured game with hours of gameplay and a decent progression. The only end game is unlocking biomes and challenges, as well as challenging yourself to get to the highest difficulty levels. There is currently no end game unlocks for reaching the highest difficulty.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game might raise in price once we reach 1.0 and there are more features added to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is hugely important to me in making SPLEEN the best game it can be. I know typing games aren't very popular, but if I am lucky enough to find a niche audience, I will do everything in my power to make sure SPLEEN is the best dang typing game ever created. I will be looking for feedback from the community via the SPLEEN steam forum and will be working hard to read everyone's feedback and suggestions during the early access period and beyond.”

I HATE typing games.  I can't express enough how much I hate typing games.

BUT, I want to get better at typing.

That is why I built SPLEEN.

There is no game over screen for SPLEEN.

Instead there is a COOLDOWN mode that allows you an opportunity to refocus and carry on.

There's even a recovery feature so you don't lose your word streaks!

>>> Dynamic Difficulty

Your success (or failure) each phrase determines the difficulty as you play!

- 10 biomes with different phrase themes
- 125 difficulty levels per biome
- 28 rows per difficulty level

which means over 35,000 phrases!!!
with an additional 10,000 challenge phrases!
