What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“SystemChart already records and charts your PC's hardware, process and game history, and it works every day on the machines we test. Windows PCs vary enormously in hardware, drivers, games and anti-cheat, and we can only test a small part of that ourselves. Early Access lets real machines show us which sensors are missing or wrong, which games or capture setups fail, and which ways of investigating a slow moment people actually use. That feedback decides what we fix and refine first.”

Approximately how long will this software be in Early Access?

“We expect about 3 to 6 months. We'll leave Early Access when the full release is broadly compatible and stable on the hardware and games people use, not on a fixed date. If the estimate changes, we'll update this answer and explain why.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to be the same product, made steadier and more widely compatible, not a different one. Current plans, which may change with feedback:

- More sensors reported correctly across GPUs, CPUs and motherboards, especially combinations we can't test ourselves.
- Wider testing of games, capture setups and anti-cheat, with clear notes on what doesn't work.
- Refinements to Findings, Black Box and exports, based on how people use them.
- Steadier long-running capture, including sleep, resume, sign-out and restart.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“SystemChart records CPU, GPU, memory, storage, network, power and supported game frame times every second while the PC is active, and keeps the history on your PC. Free includes the same supported sensors and capture quality as Pro and a 60-day history window. It also includes the built-in pages: the machine map and live heat map, CPU and GPU chip views, per-app network, Drivers, Black Box with built-in incident explanations, Games with graded frame rates, System Rating, automatic markup and Findings, and CSV, JSON, chart-image and HTML incident exports.

SystemChart Pro is optional DLC in the same installation. It adds custom workspaces, drawing tools, Compare, benchmarks, watch rules, SQL, weekly and monthly reports, a desktop widget, themes, a virtual Trading simulation, Windows Update driver checks, and AI assistants that use a model or service you choose. It also removes the 60-day history limit, within your storage budget.

Limits today: available sensors depend on your hardware and drivers. Frame capture uses PresentMon and Windows tracing permission, and game and anti-cheat compatibility vary. Exclusive fullscreen isn't guaranteed. Wall power is an estimate. Windows 11 x64 only. No model or model account is included. Diagnostics are sent only when you choose Send. Updates are tested against existing history and saved work before release. If an update ever affects either, its notes will say so first.”

Will this software be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“SystemChart itself is free during and after Early Access, and the free edition is a complete product, not a trial. SystemChart Pro is optional paid DLC. We don't plan to change Pro's price when SystemChart leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Report problems and ideas in the Steam Community discussions or through SystemChart's in-app diagnostic report, which sends only when you choose Send. Each update gets release notes in Steam news. Reports about sensors, games and capture setups that don't work directly shape what we fix next.”

About This Software

Your PC, with a history

What changed when the game stuttered? Which applications were busy? What happened before Windows restarted?

SystemChart puts supported hardware readings, process activity, game frame times and Windows incidents on a local timeline. Return to the interval, inspect the evidence and keep the history on your PC.

Explore the whole machine

Start with Hardware overview and System overview, then follow CPU, GPU, memory, thermals, drives, network and power on their own pages. Inspect the local driver inventory, capture coverage and offline System Rating. Quick Find takes you straight to a page, setting, application or game, including your custom names and recent destinations.

  • Follow supported temperatures, clocks, utilization and power alongside recorded activity. Missing readings remain unavailable.
  • Inspect live application resource use and supported per-application network activity.
  • Revisit supported captured game sessions with average FPS, lows, frame times and stutter context. Benchmarks compare captured runs; SystemChart does not run a synthetic stress test.
  • Use Black Box to inspect selected Windows System and Application incidents, nearby application context, case labels and follow-up status. Export an HTML incident report when you need to keep or share it.
  • See capture status and historical coverage together, including stated gaps and limits.

Free capture. Optional Pro tools.

The Free base app includes the same supported sensors and capture quality as Pro, built-in hardware and game pages, automatic chart markup, ordinary CSV, JSON and single-image exports, and a 60-day history window within storage constraints. Local driver inventory, offline System Rating and Black Box evidence are Free. The basic frame counter includes size and four-edge placement controls.

SystemChart Pro is an optional DLC in the same installation. It adds custom workspaces, manual studies and drawings, comparison and benchmark tools, read-only SQL authoring and execution, watch authoring, scheduled health reports, additional themes and ranked frame-counter presentation. Pro removes the edition time limit on history within your storage budget. Previously captured readings and saved work are not deleted merely because Pro access ends; normal retention and storage limits still apply.

Pro is an ownership-based add-on, not a SystemChart subscription. It also unlocks explicit Windows Update driver searches without downloading or installing drivers, and Trading: an optional hardware-linked simulation with virtual shares, shorts, options and account history. No real money is at stake. Free keeps existing Trading records readable and exportable.

The Pro native desktop widget keeps selected readings, small history graphs or both on the Windows desktop. Choose a compact or comfortable layout, metric presets, reading order, recorded ranges, update frequency, colour, size and placement. The same underlying supported readings remain available in Free charts.

Ask about the evidence

Ask AI opens a chat inside SystemChart on Pro. Connect your own compatible API or local model, test the connection, and ask about the page and time range on screen, a saved report, an indicator or what SystemChart can do. Model-written explanations appear with links to the evidence they used. External clients such as Claude Desktop and Codex can connect separately through local MCP; opening an ordinary ChatGPT browser chat does not give it access to your history. Browser handoff shares only the snapshot you choose to copy.

In-app provider presets include OpenAI, Anthropic and Azure AI Foundry; local servers through Ollama, LM Studio and Foundry Local; and other compatible chat-completions endpoints. Supply your own model service or running local model. Provider subscriptions, API access and inference costs are separate. Tool support and answer quality depend on the model.

Assistants can inspect supported diagnostics and propose a limited set of presentation changes or a Black Box case label and status. SystemChart shows the old and new values for you to Apply or Cancel. Changed or expired targets need a fresh proposal. SQL drafts also require review and never execute automatically. There are no assistant tools to end processes, install drivers, change capture settings, delete history or upload reports.

Hosted models receive your question and the context requested from SystemChart. A local model can keep inference on this PC. Answers can be wrong; check the readings and distinguish a timing match from proof of a cause. Core capture and charts do not require AI.

Local history, clear limits

Capture does not require a SystemChart account. History stays on your PC; optional evidence sharing and AI connections are yours to configure. Closing the Steam chart window leaves the native recorder running.

Sensor availability depends on hardware, drivers and permissions. Supported NVIDIA cards can expose additional board readings; AMD and Intel graphics currently use basic Windows counters. Optional CPU and motherboard sensors require supported hardware and explicit setup. A Pro licence cannot add a sensor your hardware does not report.

System Rating is an offline community CPU/GPU rendering-reference estimate, not a measured maximum, FPS prediction or complete system benchmark. RAM and storage are visible but unscored. Estimated wall power, energy and electricity cost are models, not plug-in meter measurements.

Frame capture depends on supported games, APIs and Windows tracing permission. The counter supports windowed and borderless presentation; exclusive fullscreen and every game's protection software are not guaranteed. SystemChart does not overclock hardware or promise an FPS improvement. Missing capture cannot be reconstructed, and long-range history can use stated-resolution buckets.

SystemChart is Coming Soon on Steam. Pro DLC is planned and is not publicly available yet. AI integration in the Steam preview remains subject to content review. This preview targets Windows 11 x64; macOS, Linux, SteamOS and native ARM64 are not supported.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI assisted with SystemChart's branding and store descriptions. The optional Pro assistant displays model-generated explanations about captured PC data, saved reports and SystemChart features. It uses a model and any credentials supplied by the user, with bounded diagnostic and product-reference tools. Supported settings and case-label proposals require explicit review and Apply. External AI clients control their own responses. Core capture and charts do not require AI. No model or hosted inference service is included.
