Area 7: The far-west American Desert, 1957.

The war is over and the future is now. Nuclear power promises a brighter tomorrow.

Out in the desert, something isn't quite right.

Amongst neon-lit motels, dusty highways, and small-town diners lies a world of secret government projects, unexplained phenomena, strange disappearances, and things that 'officially' don't exist.

You play as Dr. M. Archer, a weary World War II veteran and former member of the secretive U.S. Intelligence Corps.

Archer has been assigned to lead a new, classified government project known as the OBSIDIAN Department.

The task is simple... Investigate the impossible.

Traverse the deserts of Area 7, investigate deaths, paranormal cases & disappearances. Examine strange locations, question suspicious characters, collect clues, and uncover the truth behind events that the OBSIDIAN Department would rather keep off the public record.

OBSIDIAN 7 combines classic story-driven point-and-click adventure with a more open-field approach to exploration.

• Solve X-Cases and uncover secrets: Use objects, information, and clues you discover in the world to solve puzzles, piece together X-Cases, and push your investigations further.

• Meet the Inhabitants of Area 7: Suspicious locals and colourful characters with tales and information of their own.

Each mystery begins with a question. But the further Archer digs, a deeper story begins to emerge.

And somewhere out in the desert, the cogs of 'The Complex' are turning.
