About This Game

KILL DEATH. RETURN TO EDEN.

You died. Hell took you by mistake. Nobody is coming to correct it.

KOR EDEN is a dark-fantasy action roguelite about cutting your way down through the underworld to the one thing that can send you home — Death itself — and about what you agree to on the way. Hell will help you. Hell names its price first.

A DESCENT OF HANGING HALLS

This Hell hangs in a bottomless shaft: rooms on chains, joined by bridges over a fall with an ember burning at the bottom. Every room has a name and a law. The Threshold, where the dead still keep the door. The Cinder Nave, where every fire was once a name. The Gatekeeper's Hall, where nothing passes that has not paid. And below them, the Ledger Halls, where every soul is an entry.

EVERY POWER IS A CONTRACT

Devils are not fodder. They are characters, and they make offers. Every offer states what you gain and what it costs, plainly, before you agree to anything.

  • THE PASSAGE — Dodge THROUGH an attack and your next strike ERUPTS. Dodge nothing and you STUMBLE.
  • THE CHAIN — PARRY to chain your foe: it is held, and it takes DOUBLE. Stray from it and it SNAPS you down.
  • THE EMBER KEEPS — Your counterblow KILLS. Get hit, and the flame SNUFFS.
  • THE LEDGER — Every wound you take is written down, and a parry collects it. Leave it unpaid and it is cut from your ceiling.

Refusing is a real choice. A devil you turn down can come back — and the price will have grown. You can even give a pact back and heal, if you can live without its power.

COMBAT YOU CAN READ

Aggressive, flowing, third-person melee. The difficulty is reading and timing — never hidden information, never inflated health bars.

  • Telegraphs you can see. Every threat announces itself, and every death is explainable.
  • Defence that creates offence. A parry is dangerous before it lands and explosive after it does.
  • Weight without sludge. Committed swings, controlled hit-stop, immediate turning.
  • Enemies with roles. Husks you can parry; lancers and brutes you cannot, and must space and dodge — and a Gatekeeper that has to be paid.

TWO SOULS, ENTANGLED DEBTS

Two-player local split-screen co-op is built in from the first line of code: two players, two separately owned builds, two sets of debts, one couch. The pacts reach across — under THE LEDGER, the wounds one of you takes, the other collects.

Solo is complete on its own.

KOR EDEN is local co-op only. There is no online multiplayer.

HELL IS BEAUTIFUL, AND IT MEANS SOMETHING

Dark-fantasy anime built from deliberate low-poly geometry and painterly surfaces: strong silhouettes, controlled palettes, readable stylised effects. No generic red caves.
