Why Early Access?

“The core gameplay of Kaiju Gladiators is already playable, with multiple characters, Kaijus, levels, and game modes with local PVP, LAN PVP, all currently available. However, we want to continue expanding the game with more content while improving and balancing the existing experience.

Early Access will allow us to test the game with a larger group of players and receive feedback that we cannot get from internal testing alone. This is particularly important for Online PvP, which is already functional but has not yet been thoroughly tested across a wide range of players, connections, and real-world conditions.

During Early Access, our goals are to improve and balance the existing gameplay, address bugs and multiplayer issues, add more characters and Kaijus, and expand the game with additional levels, bosses, and other content. Then the Balancing, focusing that there would be no overpowered characters, and no exploits on skills.

We are committed to continuing development throughout Early Access and using player feedback to help us improve the game as we work toward a more complete and polished full release. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More Characters, Items, Levels, Bosses... Basically more content.
Online Multiplayer Features should be Working Well and Stable.
Better Customization and Equipments, Weapons and Armor.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Kaiju Gladiators is currently fully playable, with the core gameplay systems already implemented and working. UI and UX is getting better each day.

The Early Access version currently includes multiple playable characters and Kaijus, combat and character abilities, multiple levels, PvE content, and the currently available multiplayer game modes. The main gameplay loop is functional and can be played as intended.

Online PvP is also functional, but it has not yet been thoroughly tested with a large number of players and different network conditions. Improving the stability, balance, and overall experience of Online PvP will therefore be one of our areas of focus during Early Access.

The game still needs additional content and further polish. We plan to add more characters, Kaijus, levels, bosses, and other content while continuing to improve and balance the existing game. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to actively use player feedback and bug reports throughout Early Access, primarily through the Steam Community discussions.

Community feedback will be particularly important for Online PvP. Reports about connectivity, latency, synchronization, matchmaking or multiplayer issues will help us identify problems that may not appear during our internal testing.

We also want feedback on gameplay balance, including characters, Kaijus, weapons, abilities, difficulty, progression, and other gameplay systems. Recurring feedback from players will help us identify which areas need improvement and help us prioritize balancing, fixes, and future development. Likely players would suggest some new Weapons and Kaiju's they would love to see, and we would try to implement what we see fit.

We will continue making our own development decisions for the overall direction of Kaiju Gladiators, but community feedback will play an important role in determining what needs the most attention as we work toward the full release.”
