In a ruined city overrun by zombies, every fallen enemy can become your next soldier. Drain souls, raise undead from the corpses on the battlefield, and lead them onward. Your troops steadily decay, so replenishing your ranks is part of every fight.

Command the legion. Enter the fight.

Hold your ground or rally your troops and push forward. When you need to break through, possess a Death Knight or Dark Lord and join the front line with sweeping attacks and powerful spells.

Turn a guardian into an ally

Defeat a recruitable guardian behemoth at its outpost, drain the soul it leaves behind, and bind it to your army. Choose the Breaker or Bulwark path to reinforce your assault or help protect your legion.

Shape your next battle

Destroy Nests and choose powers that change your tactics. Combine troops and abilities as you tackle campaign objectives, endure Endless Siege, or explore three focused tactical trials.

This game features frequent stylized fantasy violence. You fight zombies and other undead throughout. Defeated enemies leave corpses that you drain for soul energy or detonate. Combat shows blood splatters, ground stains, and some damaged or dismembered undead; bloated enemies can explode on death. The setting is a dark, ruined city after a nuclear disaster. The story involves human extinction, a pact with a death god, and optional ritual circles (stand in place to complete a rite; there is no realistic human sacrifice).
