About This Demo

It is 11:48 PM on November 6, 1989.

Seventeen years after a fire sealed the telephone exchange beneath the Municipal Archive, its dead lines begin ringing again.

You are the night archivist assigned to an unfinished intake. Below you: twelve impossible calls, one working service elevator, and an operator-shaped thing that turns every footstep and tuning pulse into a trail.

MORROWTAPE is a no-combat first-person psychological horror game built around a compact, high-tension extraction loop.

Take the field receiver. Follow the carrier. Decide what comes back to the surface.

Tune the line. Take the tape. Reach the lift.

Each of four escalating dives sends you deeper into a fixed, learnable complex whose objective placement, lighting, and dressing shift between runs. Match exact carrier frequencies to reveal sealed routes and recover three red-spooled call records. Find the lift fuse, choose when to sprint, and extract before your noise catches up with you.

Every sound leaves an address

Footsteps, tuning pulses, and dead circuits coming online all give The Listener somewhere to search. You have no weapon. Break its search through route knowledge, timing, and deciding when noise is worth the risk.

Twelve calls. One buried line.

Every recovered reel unlocks a complete on-screen dramatic transcript. Across twelve calls, a child counts telephone poles that appear after dark, a dead subscriber disputes his bill, a patrol officer hears her own voice issue impossible orders, and a vanished operator traces a line the city meant to bury.

Choose the official record

After every extraction, Preserve the Originals or Erase the Carrier. The record you build across four dives leads to one of three endings.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Generative AI tools assisted the development of selected 2D artwork, written narrative and presentation content, and twelve music cues that ship with the game. The music was generated through Google Lyria 3 Pro, then edited, loop-prepared, level-adjusted, and encoded by the developer as fixed runtime assets. The final artwork, text, and music are fixed in the build. The game does not send player prompts or data to an AI service and does not generate content with AI while running. No AI-generated voice performance or external SFX sample is included in the current candidate.
