Why Early Access?

“We want to improve RunGun Riot with feedback from people playing real matches. Early Access will help us refine combat clarity, fighter balance, match pacing and accessibility while continuing to improve content and reliability.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently estimate roughly 12–18 months in Early Access after the Early Access launch. This is a working estimate, not a fixed release date. The timing will depend on progress with the planned content, multiplayer stability, balancing and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access release is intended to start with the core battle royale and an initial selection of contracts, vendor items and district interactions. For version 1.0, we plan to expand the activities and choices around that match loop:

- More battle-royale contracts: a broader set of combat and crate-looting objectives, with additional progression goals and rewards.
- Expanded vendor content: more weapon, item and power-up offerings, with further balancing of what players can buy with match currency.
- More developed district interactions: additional usable door and interior routes in the existing battleground, giving players more ways to move between fights and reach loot.

We also plan to refine fighter and weapon balance, loot distribution and storm pacing using match feedback; improve combat visual and audio cues, accessibility options and controller menus and prompts; and improve multiplayer stability and performance.

The additional contract, vendor and district content is still in development. These are our current development goals, and their scope and priority may change with testing and community feedback. We will keep this section updated as content is added.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“RunGun Riot is currently in development and is not yet available to purchase on Steam. The current playable foundation includes fighter selection, movement and combat, scavenging, storm pressure, city routes, airdrops, cover and explosive barrels. Steam integration and online reliability testing are still in progress. We will update this section to describe the exact build available when Early Access begins.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer a lower price during Early Access and increase the price for the full release as the game gains content and polish.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use Steam announcements and community discussions to share development updates and collect feedback on combat clarity, fighter balance, match pacing, accessibility and content priorities. Bug reports and playtest feedback will help us prioritize fixes and improvements.”
