MoniV is a desktop mascot app that displays characters from transparent videos on your Windows desktop.

Bring your own character to your desktop, or export it as a MoniV character pack to share with your fans.

Share Your Character with Your Fans

Export your character as a MoniV character pack (.moniv) and share it with your fans.

Fans can import the pack into MoniV and display your character on their own desktops.

For VTubers, Live2D modelers, and illustrators, MoniV offers a way to turn characters into digital merch that fans can keep by their side.

The character pack feature is currently in beta. Future updates may require you to recreate and redistribute your packs.

Clicks and mouse wheel input pass through transparent parts of the character to the application behind it.

Keep your character on screen while continuing to use your PC as usual.

The next time you launch MoniV, your character returns to its previous position and size.

Enjoy a Variety of Animations

Add multiple animations, and MoniV randomly selects the next one whenever the current video finishes playing.

You can also click your character to switch animations yourself.

MoniV automatically switches video resolution to match the character's display size.

Import Your Own Character

Convert transparent VP9 WebM videos directly inside the app to add your own characters to MoniV.

If you have a Live2D model, you can export transparent videos using tools such as nizima ACTION!! and import them into MoniV.

Videos exported with nizima ACTION!! have been tested for compatibility.

You can use MoniV with VTuber models and characters created by Live2D modelers or illustrators.

A sample character is included so you can try MoniV right away.

The free version lets you display one character at a time.

A small MoniV logo appears near the character's feet in the free version.

The paid DLC unlocks the following features:

• Remove the simultaneous character display limit

• Hide the MoniV logo below characters

Internet Connection Requirements

An internet connection is required for the following downloads:

• Initial setup: to automatically install the WebView2 Runtime

• First use of video conversion: to download FFmpeg

After setup is complete, you can display characters offline.
