Nothing will stop you. Deviations are recorded.

MANDATORY CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES

1. Always transcribe the text exactly as you see it, word for word.
   
2. If you perceive that the slides are asking you questions, do not respond.
   
3. Never attempt to open or enter the door at the end of the projection room.
   
4. Some employees begin to notice personal details of their lives within the text. If this occurs, continue writing.
   
5. Your assigned shift is exactly 8 hours. If you perceive that several weeks or months have passed, disregard this sensation.
   
6. In the event of a sudden projector power failure, you are required to continue transcribing from memory.

S9782 is a manuscript on acrylic paper, several pages long, written for projection hardware nobody manufactures anymore. Every transcriptionist who sat in this chair before you read it too.

Reading it is not a neutral act. The text does not sit still and get copied. It pays attention. The more of it you read, the more of you it has.

• The game never stops you. Misspell a word, write something else entirely, ignore the slide — nothing blocks you. Every deviation is recorded.
  
• Audio built from your hands. Procedural sound that responds to your rhythm, your hesitation, the pauses you didn't notice you were taking.
  
• An office that degrades. The room you work in is not the same room on the third day, and nobody will point it out.
  
• Eight hours. Or six months. Time in the projection room is a payroll matter, not a physical one.
