Coming Soon To Early Access

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Football physics is delicate: shot power, tackle range and ball speed only get tuned
right with a lot of real people playing. A small studio testing internally finds the
balance of 20 matches, not of 20,000 — and volume is what surfaces the shot nobody can
save and the character everybody picks.

We have three goals for Early Access, in this order:

1. Balance with real data. We track win rate per character, goals per match, and which of
the 9 chaos events people love or skip, and we tune every update — publishing what
changed and why.
2. Harden the online. Steam matchmaking and movement prediction already work, but the
real latency of people spread across the world is impossible to simulate. We want online
stable above 80 ms ping before 1.0.
3. Finish the content with the community present. More playable characters and new arenas
land during Early Access, and the people playing help decide which ones.

We are committed to taking Zooccer to 1.0. The game is already complete start to finish —
we are not asking you to fund a prototype, but to play a finished game and help us sharpen
it. We plan about 6 months of Early Access with regular updates, and we will leave once
the full cast and the new arenas are in the game and the balance is stable.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 6 months. We'll leave Early Access once the full cast and the new arenas are in
the game, and once the balance is stable.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More playable characters, more arenas, and balance changes coming from what the
community reports. Gameplay, audio and the tutorial are already complete in Early
Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Playable start to finish: 1v1 to 4v4 matches against bots, local couch play for 4 on one
screen, Remote Play Together, a six-team career, online with Steam matchmaking, 3 arenas,
9 chaos events, a tutorial and 54 achievements. In English, Portuguese, Spanish,
Simplified Chinese and Korean.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The Early Access price is a launch price for people who join now and help shape the
game. It goes up once we leave Early Access, with the full cast and the new arenas in
place.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We read every bug report and balance suggestion the community sends. Shot power, tackle
range and ball speed are tuned from what people report playing the real game, not
decided alone behind closed doors.”

About This Game

The wall is your teammate.

Zooccer is street football in a closed arena. No touchlines, no corners, no goal kicks —
the ball hits the wall and comes right back. The game never stops.

THE BALL NEVER GOES OUT

Every wall is live. Bounce a pass off it to beat your marker, wrap it around a defender,
or fire it back at the goal. Learning the angles is the difference between losing the
ball and scoring the best goal of your life.

COUCH PLAY — UP TO 4 ON ONE SCREEN, 4V4 ONLINE

Grab a controller and press START. No setup, no menus, no split screen — one camera,
four players, one street.
Steam Remote Play Together: your friends don't need to own the game. Invite three
of them and play the whole thing over the internet from a single copy. Want a bigger
match? Take it online for full 4v4, eight players in the same arena.

TACKLES, GRABS AND FLYING BODIES

Slide tackles launch people. A body flying through the air bowls over anyone in its path.
Grab a rival and drag him off the ball — he'll wrestle to break free while your stamina
drains. Jump over an incoming tackle and the ball goes up with you.

CHAOS EVENTS

Twice a match, the rules change for 30 seconds:
  • GIANT BALL — heavy, sluggish, barely bounces
  • MOON GRAVITY — the ball floats and takes forever to land
  • FAST FORWARD — everything at double speed. Except the clock.
  • INFINITE STAMINA — sprint, jump, grab and tackle for free
  • ICE RINK — nobody can brake. Nobody.
  • GOALS COUNT DOUBLE — every goal counts twice
  • BRAWL — tackles throw people almost three times further
  • CANNON — every touch crosses the entire pitch
  • FLEA BALL — the ball shrinks and goes weightless, bouncing off everything

PLAY IT YOUR WAY

  • 1v1 to 4v4 across three arenas — a city street, a walled court, a neon alley
  • Career — a six-team league, one match per round, standings and a champion
  • Online — Steam matchmaking queue, parties and voice chat
  • Training — no clock, a partner who feeds you the ball, and all the wall you want
  • 43 achievements and a cast of unlockable characters

EASY TO PICK UP

Move, pass, lob, tackle. Hold the button to charge the shot — a tap is a pass, a full bar
is a rocket. Everything else is knowing where the wall is.

Full keyboard and controller support. Playable in English, Portuguese, Spanish,
Simplified Chinese and Korean.
