About This Game

You know how to play Minesweeper. Now discover how the board's shape can change it.

One clue unlocks a corner. A carefully placed flag makes the next move obvious. Suddenly, a patch of uncertainty becomes a chain of satisfying deductions.

Minesweeper Retiled brings that feeling to more than 100 geometric tilings. Explore interlocking triangles, hexagons, circular rings and elaborate mosaics, each changing how tiles connect and how you read the clues. Familiar rules take you somewhere new—with plenty of reasons to play just one more board.

A hundred ways to challenge your instincts

Start with the classic square grid, then venture into patterns that make you rethink what counts as a neighbour. Follow clues through stars and kites, untangle intricate polygon combinations, or discover the surprising beauty of non-repeating tilings.

Explore Penrose patterns, the Hat and Spectre, and other unusual boards where the arrangement itself becomes part of the challenge. Non-repeating boards draw from different regions of their tilings each game, giving you fresh shapes to navigate and new mines to find.

No mathematics degree required. Just curiosity, observation and a well-placed flag.

Every puzzle has a way forward

Choose Puzzle mode for boards you can finish through logic alone. Each begins with a revealed foothold and a guaranteed path to the solution—so when you’re stuck, a deduction is waiting to be found.

Choose Easy, Medium or Hard reasoning difficulty independently of board size. Enjoy a gentle, sprawling puzzle or a compact challenge that makes you stop and think.

For the traditional experience, Standard mode keeps the familiar mix of deduction, uncertainty and nerve, with a safe first click to get you started.

Your board. Your pace. Your style.

Pick Easy, Medium or Expert board presets, or create a custom challenge with your own dimensions and mine count. Zoom in to study a knot of clues, pan across larger boards, or settle into full screen.

Make the board your own with colour themes and tile finishes. Pair crisp classic tiles with a favourite palette, try soft or bevelled surfaces, or add texture with stone, marble, flagstone, and wood.

Build a quiet space for a few thoughtful moves—or a vivid arena for chasing your next personal best.

Two heads—or a head start?

Play with friends over your local network, including between Windows and Android devices.

In co-op, solve one shared board together. Reveal tiles and place flags simultaneously, combine your observations, and share the victory. Choose carefully: one mine ends the game for everyone.

In competitive play, race through separate copies of the same mine layout. Keep an eye on your opponents’ progress as you decide whether to double-check that deduction or commit to the click.

Good games deserve an encore

Turn a satisfying solve into something you can keep and share. Export a still image, an animated WebP replay or an MP4 video, and show the journey from the opening reveal to the final safe tile.

Optional Pan and Zoom follows the action around the board, moving closer for individual plays and pulling back for sweeping reveals. MP4 videos include game sounds, with resolution and frame-rate choices to suit your export.

Celebrate a record, show off an unusual tiling, or share a spectacular mistake. Sometimes the game you lose is the one worth watching again.

Track your best times, master a favourite pattern, and discover another waiting just beyond it.

The next clue is familiar. The board around it might surprise you.
