GRIMLIFE

An open-world survival RPG set in a post-apocalyptic zombie-infested world. Meet fellow survivors, develop your character, and learn how to survive as you explore the world after a viral outbreak leads to the end of civilization.

Single-Player

The game is a single-player experience, set in a large open-world area. For the sake of the simplicity and embracing limited, achievable scope there are no plans to make this into a multi-player experience. There are many games that occupy this territory and the intention of this project is to deliver a great single-player experience.

CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION

Character customization is a key feature in roleplaying games. Choose a variety of character models and an assortment of colors to customize your character. Further customize your character by spending attribute points and increasing skill values to help you survive.

DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT

Featuring a dynamic weather system, players will encounter a variety of weather conditions to navigate through. The world operates under a 24 hour day and night cycle. 

LIVELY CHARACTERS

Characters will do more than bark the same voice lines on repeat. The game will have a wide cast of interesting and unique characters to meet and interact with. Each character has their own interests, hobbies, and routine. Spending time with the world's characters is a core part of GRIMLIFE. 

SURVIVAL MECHANICS

Combat in the game will be a variety of melee, guns, and crafted items, along with using medical supplies such as bandages, medical kits, and other items to help the player survive. There will be three main types of enemies, humans, animals, and zombies. Within each main type, there will be subtypes of enemies that have their own unique identity.

I use AI tools mostly for generating code and audio clips. I also use AI at times for image-editing. I write all the dialogue for the characters - but all the voices inside the game are generated by AI.
