A siege auto-battler. Draft an Aspect, buy fighters, arm them, then watch the line decide it without you. One castle for the whole run, a rival who returns each round, and a dragon at the end that cannot be killed, only measured against.

About This Demo

Build a line. Send it. Live with it.

Aspect Arena is a siege auto-battler. You draft an Aspect, spend a small purse on fighters and weapons, arrange the line, and then the fight resolves without you. What you built is the whole of your input, and the round tells you plainly whether it was enough.

One castle, for the whole run

There is one castle and it keeps its damage. Repairing costs gold you would rather have spent on the board, and a run ends when the walls come down, not when a battle does.

Ten Aspects, and a fusion if you are lucky

An Aspect rewrites everything you field. Pyre sets things alight, Chronos strikes twice, Verdant regrows what it loses. Hold two at once and the pair may fuse into something with a name of its own. Invest, and your Aspect tiers up and a champion arrives who fights like nothing you can buy.

A rival, not weather

Each run has a rival: one Aspect that comes back round after round with a build growing alongside yours. Every third round a challenger visits instead, so no matchup is the entire run.

Your wall can shoot back

Pay the masons to cut a mounting, then arm it with a cannon, an obelisk or a brazier. Your Aspect dresses their shots exactly as it dresses a sword. Their reach is two thirds of the field, so a siege is still decided by soldiers. On the harder settings the enemy arms its wall too.

Relics that bend the rules

A caravan visits with keepsakes. A gate that eats the first attacker to reach it. A bell that refuses, once, to let your keep fall. A shroud that turns every sixth corpse to your side, where it fell.

The dragon

Win a campaign and you may go and face it. It cannot be killed. It is a wall to measure yourself against, and your score is how much you took off it before the fire took you.

What is in the demo

The whole run: every Aspect, the relic caravan, the battlements, all five rungs of the difficulty ladder, and the dragon at the end of it. Ranked play and the tuning sandbox are held back for the full game.
