About This Game

Someone has to manage the end of the world.

The world ended. The company did not. You have been assigned a bunker, a handful of survivors and a quarterly outlook. Dig down, staff the rooms, keep everyone fed and reasonably sane, and file the paperwork when they don't make it.

People, not numbers

Every colonist has a name, a trade and a temper. They get hungry, tired, sick and lonely. They make friends, hold grudges, fall in love and walk out on you. They remember eating the same stew for six days straight, and their morale says so.

Work is a seat, not an order

Every room has work slots. You put people in them, and the game shows you at a glance which seats are empty, who is busy and who is idle. Click a room and the candidate list is already sorted by who is best at it — and warns you if they'd be sharing a shift with someone they can't stand.

Nobody left unassigned is wasted: free hands are the ones who put up new buildings.

Four ends of the world

Nuclear war, climate collapse, a plague, and something nobody can name. Each one repaints the interface, changes what is killing you and needs a different bunker. Radiation. Infection. Exposure. Interference. In the plague, the ones you lose don't always stay down.

Dig deeper

The bunker grows downward, one excavated floor at a time, and each floor costs more than the last. Merge two identical rooms into one bigger one. Upgrade what you have or build wider — you will not have the space for both.

The colony falls. The record stays.

When a colony dies, it dies for good: no reloading, no second chances. What survives is your personnel file — permanent upgrades, unlocked content and the marks you set — and the next colony starts a little less doomed than the last one.

What's in the file

  • 35 rooms across 78 upgrade tiers
  • 76 research nodes and 22 pieces of craftable gear
  • 8 wasteland zones and 5 factions to loot, trade with or rob
  • 73 events, 16 of them decisions that stick
  • 29 traits, 55 skill perks and 124 ranks of permanent progression
  • 4 origins, 42 milestones, one company that will never admit anyone died
