Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We've found that Early Access works best when players can help us refine the systems they interact with every day.

Islandry is about growing a small island into an interconnected production network, combining resource gathering, farming, conveyors, drone logistics, and trading. Through Early Access, we want to learn how players organize their islands, where automation feels satisfying, and where progression or controls may be confusing.

That feedback will help us make the experience smoother and more rewarding while preserving Islandry's relaxed, creative atmosphere.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current estimate is around 4 to 6 months in Early Access, but this is a working target rather than a guaranteed timeline.

Development progress and community feedback may affect how long the game stays in Early Access. We'll use this period to evaluate the existing gameplay and determine which improvements and additions are practical to pursue.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version, we would like to explore more ways for players to develop their islands and create efficient production networks. Areas under consideration include:

1. A wider range of resources, farms, and processing chains.
2. Additional possibilities for conveyor and drone automation.
3. More progression and trading opportunities.
4. Refinements to controls, balancing, usability, and performance.

These are potential directions, not promises of specific content. We may adjust or remove ideas as we evaluate feedback, technical feasibility, and what best supports Islandry's overall experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Islandry's Early Access experience is planned around its core gameplay of developing an island production network. Players will be able to explore resource gathering, farming, production machines, conveyor-based automation, drone logistics, and trading as interconnected systems.

The initial Early Access content is expected to have a limited selection of resources, machines, island areas, and progression opportunities compared with the scope we would like to explore in the future. Specific content may still change before release.

Throughout Early Access, we aim to improve the clarity, balance, and usability of these systems while considering additional challenges and progression. We'll use community feedback to guide improvements that are practical to implement and consistent with Islandry's overall vision.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We intend to set the Early Access price based on the game's available content and development stage.

A different price at full release is possible, but not guaranteed. Any decision would depend on the content and improvements actually delivered, and changes would be communicated through Steam.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement will play an important role in shaping Islandry during Early Access. We encourage players to share their experiences with island building and automation through:

1. Discussions and suggestions on the Steam Community
2. In-game feedback options
3. Bug reports submitted on Steam or through the game

We'll review the feedback we receive and assess which ideas are viable, feasible, and consistent with Islandry's direction. By learning from how players build and manage their islands, we hope to refine the game's systems and create a smoother, more rewarding experience for full release.”

About This Game

Turn a wild island into a thriving, self-running production network.

In Islandry, you oversee the entire island from above. Gather resources from the wild, build farms and processing machines, connect everything with conveyor belts, and let drones handle the work. Your job is to design the system, keep it flowing, and grow your operation across the island.

Build the Island

Everything starts with the island itself.

Catch fish from coastal waters, harvest wild grass, gather plants from the meadows, and bring livestock back to your farms. Some natural resources regrow, while others are limited, encouraging you to spread your operation farther across the island as you expand.

Place the machines you need, connect new production areas, and gradually transform the untouched landscape into an organized network of farms, processing lines, and logistics.

Automate Production

Build production lines using conveyor belts, storage, splitters, filters, junctions, and processing machines.

Draw conveyor lines across the island, route different goods where they need to go, buffer production in storage, and keep every part of the network supplied. Maintain your line and improve the layout when the bottleneck happen.

Meanwhile, drones gather resources, deliver supplies, feed farms, and collect their output automatically.

You build the system. The island keeps it moving.

Sustain the Network

Your farms depend on resources produced somewhere else on the island.

Harvest grass and process it into Plant Feed to keep your crops growing. Use the corn you produce to create Animal Feed, then supply your chicken farms and collect their eggs.

As the network grows, individual production lines begin to depend on one another. A shortage in one part of the island can slow another, while a well-designed supply chain keeps everything running smoothly.

Route and Optimize

A growing island needs more than production.

Split busy conveyor lines, merge resources together, filter specific goods, launch items across gaps and crossing belts, and use storage to keep important supplies available where they are needed.

Upgrade machine and conveyor speeds as demand increases, reorganize inefficient sections, and expand your network as nearby natural resources run low.

From a single production line to an island-wide system, every connection becomes part of a larger operation.

Ship Your Goods

The Export Depot connects your island to trading destinations across the sea.

Choose a trade destination, prepare the goods you want to export, or import resources your production network needs. Ships carry goods between your island and other locations, and each completed transaction returns with money, Island XP, and reputation.

As your Island Rank grows, unlock more trade destinations and expand your options for buying, selling, and moving goods across the sea.

Islandry is designed as a cozy automation experience without combat or survival pressure. Start with the resources found along the shore and meadows. Build the machines. Connect the lines. Keep the island supplied. Then watch a wild island become a production system of your own design.
