A single-player roguelike gambling game set entirely in one room. To clear a crushing debt, win coins at the claw machine, cash out at the ATM, and upgrade at the typewriter before the devil collects. Then the doorbell rings. Ally, or scammer? Who you deal with decides whether you get out.

About This Game

ODD ODDS

Your debt grows faster than you can pay it down. In front of you: a claw machine, an ATM, and a single typewriter. Every turn, a devil comes to collect. Come up short, and it ends there.

ODD ODDS is a roguelike gambling game about facing down your debt in one dimly lit room.

Features:

🎯 A physics-driven claw machine. Work the arm, take what you can reach.

🔧 Reshape the arm. Change what drops. Rebuild the machine into your own way of earning.

📜 Roguelike upgrades chosen at the typewriter each turn — no two runs the same.

😈 Collection turns. Miss the number, and the run is over on the spot.

🔔 Visitors who show up whenever they please. Allies — or something looking to feed on you.

💳 A hidden option inside the ATM, available only when you're out of road.

🕯️ A poorly lit room and something demonic close by. Dark from start to finish.

One Room

You stand at the machine. You work the ATM. You hit the keys of the typewriter.
Earning, growing stronger — all of it happens inside this room.

You only leave when the collector arrives.

Grab, Cash Out, Upgrade

Claw Machine — Work the arm to pull coins and items out of the cabinet.

ATM — Cash in what you grabbed. It's the only way money comes in.

Typewriter — Take an upgrade each turn. Reshape the arm, swap out what drops — rebuild how you earn from the ground up.

The Devil's Collection

Every few turns, a devil names a figure.
It comes straight out of your balance, and if you're short, the run ends. There is nothing to negotiate.
The figure keeps climbing.

It's over the moment your earnings stop keeping pace with it.

The Intercom Rings

Someone is at the door.
Some of them are here to feed on you. Others have their own teeth bared at the devil.
Take the deal or send them away. When there's more than one offer on the table, decide which.
Who you listen to weighs more than how efficiently you earn.
Whether you ever get out of this room is settled right here.

One Last Move

The ATM has a function that isn't on the menu.
Cut into a transfer between banks and take it for yourself. Pull it off and you're out of the hole — though obviously, it isn't clean.
It's only there when you have nothing left to lose.

One Last Thing

We don't encourage gambling. ODD ODDS is a work of fiction about debt and terrible decisions. It does not endorse or promote real-world gambling. In-game currency and items have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game is set in a dark world centered on debt and its collection. It contains the following content.

Simulated gambling
The core of play is operating chance-based machines (a crane game and a probability-driven roulette feature) to increase in-game currency. It does not replicate any real-world gambling service, and no real money or currency purchased with real money is ever used. In-game currency and items have no real-world value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Depiction of criminal acts
Laundering illicitly obtained funds, and seizing money by gaining unauthorized access to financial transfers, appear as in-game mechanics. These are fictional and are not presented as behavior to imitate.

Heavy debt and its collection
Failing to repay results in collection by a devil and ends the run. Some scenes are designed to be psychologically oppressive.

Occult and demonic themes
Characters and effects use devils and occult motifs.

Intense flashing lights
Certain effects cause the screen to flash rapidly. Players with a history of photosensitive epilepsy should take care.

This game contains no sexual content, nudity, blood or gore, substance or alcohol abuse, or depictions of self-harm.
