What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I need player feedback to improve the game. I have a lot of ideas I want to implement, and it will be much easier to do it properly based on what players actually think.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I honestly have no idea yet, probably until a first stable version is validated. Once that is done, I plan to keep updating the game regularly to fix bugs and add features that the community would like to see.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version will be shaped with the help of the players and their feedback. I have ideas like letting players take part in creating future visuals for the game, and maybe even levels. I think it could really add something to the game if the community is able to help it evolve themselves.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core of Mazlide is already fully playable. The current version includes a 350-level campaign split across seven worlds, 22,000 official levels, a random level generator, a daily challenge, online duels, leaderboards, a weekly community boss, and a large customization system.

I am a little worried about multiplayer because it is probably still possible to get around some of the anti-cheat rules I have put in place. However, the first data I collect will help me build statistics and hopefully improve cheat detection over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“For now, I plan to keep the same price during Early Access. If that decision changes because the game grows a lot in terms of content or scope, the community will be clearly informed well in advance.

Maybe the price could go up if the game becomes really big, but for now I want to keep it cheap so that everyone can afford it. I may also open a donation page for people who would like to support me a little more ^^”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can already rate the levels they encounter. These ratings will help me identify the most interesting grids, improve the selection of official levels, and fine-tune the level generator settings.

Feedback about difficulty, progression, rewards, duels, and usability will of course help me decide what should be changed in the game so that it can be as fun as possible.

I am counting on players to send constructive feedback through the “Message to the developer” section in the game, whether it is an idea, some feedback, a bug report, or anything else that could help me improve the game!

Thanks for reading everything, and get your brain overheating when you play the game !”

About This Game

I created this game because I’ve always been a fan of movement puzzles in Pokémon games (the ice caves).

In this game there are 3 modes, campaign, multiplayer and endless.

The campaign:
-7 worlds with their own visual theme.
-50 levels per world.
The levels get harder and harder (I’m personally at level 270 and it takes me 10-15 minutes per level, sometimes even more!). Each campaign has its own set of cosmetic rewards available in multiplayer!

Multiplayer:
-50,000+ official levels (and this is only the beginning ^^). Difficulty 5 to 30 (corresponding to the minimum number of moves).
-1v1 against players from all around the world.
-1v1 available against friends.
-Global leaderboard for difficulties 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30.
-1v1 leaderboard
-Daily challenge: the same 5 random levels for everyone, the fastest time wins!
-1 Boss every week: players deal damage to it by completing ranked levels, a reward will be waiting for the best hunters.
-Possibility to customize the game skin, your character, your trail, your profile icon as well as your profile frame (the profile icon and frame are visible to other players in the leaderboards etc.)
-Level history to analyze levels played in 1v1 or solo ranked levels.
-Map Rating mode: allows players to give each map a difficulty rating, which makes it possible to select the best maps in future updates, to offer a harder campaign, or more difficult challenges)

Infinity mode:
Allows you to play with the generation settings to create custom-made levels. Unlocks after completing world 4 in the campaign.

I hope you’ll enjoy the game, I can’t wait to make it evolve based on the community’s feedback, and I have plenty of ideas for what comes next!

Think. Trace. Master the grid.
