About This Game

Space in the 80s is a single-player synthwave dropper built around endless flight, obstacle avoidance, retro music, and deep-space scenery. The game moves you forward automatically through a continuous neon course. Steer with the mouse or keyboard, find safe openings, and keep your signal alive for as long as possible.

HOW A RUN WORKS

Choose a celestial destination and begin flying through a route that turns, climbs, and dives. The world moves continuously from an enclosed tunnel into an open cosmic expanse, then curls around a giant Outer Hull. Fly around its full 360-degree surface before the route carries you back into the tunnel and begins another loop.

SURVIVE THE COURSE

Thread safe openings in armored bulkheads and moving gates. Avoid sweeping columns, pistons, cargo pods, wave fences, and pop-up hull plates.

You begin each run with three points of hull integrity. Each collision removes one point. When your integrity reaches zero, the run ends and you can restart immediately.

DISTANCE IS YOUR SCORE

There is no fixed finish line. Your score is based only on the distance you travel before crashing. The challenge is to remain intact, travel farther, and improve your result with each new run.

MUSIC-REACTIVE NEON

Retro 80s synthwave music drives the visual response of the world. Terrain blocks rise and neon colors change with the beat, creating a moving backdrop around every flight.

CHOOSE YOUR VIEW

Fly toward celestial environments including a black hole, magnetar, neutron star, and multiple nebulae. Your selection changes the deep-space scenery surrounding the course.
