About This Game

VOLCARIS: Ashen Secrets is a card-based roguelike strategy game where you have no time to catch your breath. Gather resources, craft equipment, collect artifacts, and command survivors in a deadly race against nature.

A shipwreck has washed you ashore on an unknown island. You barely have time to come to your senses when a mysterious woman points to a raging volcano: "We must hurry if you want to survive!"

The island is under the rule of the cruel Keeper, and you have to find out which of your allies can be trusted, and who is playing a double game. Escape these ashen shores without falling victim to enemies, weather anomalies, and the inevitable eruption.

Stay a few seconds ahead of death

Every decision you make costs time. Plan your actions ahead and learn to react instantly: the timer until the next eruption is unforgiving of mistakes and long delays.

Gather, craft, build

Start with basic resources and move on to more advanced ones. Build shelters that will protect people and supplies from the eruption, gather and cook food for the survivors. how long you can hold out depends on your decisions.

Combine magical slabs

Delve into the secrets of the ashen island in search of ancient artifacts. They can empower not only you, but also the environment. Look for crazy synergies to unleash your own chaos on the island.

Brave the elements and enemies

The eruption is not the only threat. On your way to the heart of the island, you will face lightning strikes, suffocating mist, raining fire, and other natural phenomena. But it is not all doom and gloom; there will be those who want to lend you a hand... or perhaps bite it off.

Trade bones for new upgrades

Collect bones and exchange them for rare recipes, goods, and new mechanics. With their help, you will awaken incredible powers within yourself that will help you confront the Keeper of the island, or even rival his power.
