Why Early Access?

“I am a solo developer building my dream cozy farming game from scratch. Because Bloomstead relies heavily on a dynamic economy, pacing, and relaxing game loops, getting direct feedback from players early on is absolutely crucial. I want to build and shape the future of this world alongside a passionate community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I anticipate Bloomstead will be in Early Access for roughly 12 to 18 months. However, the game will remain in Early Access for as long as it takes to reach the level of polish and content that the community and I expect for a full 1.0 launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The 1.0 version is planned to be a massive expansion of the current world. Planned features include a fully fleshed-out combat and mining system in the Goblin Caves, expanded NPC relationships and dialogue, deeper crafting mechanics, house upgrades, and even more crops and livestock to raise.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core cozy farming loop is fully playable right now! Players can till dirt, grow and harvest 6 different types of crops, catch fish, chop wood, and raise animals like cows, pigs, and chickens. The village features a fully working day/night cycle where NPCs follow their own daily routines, and a working economy where you can buy and sell goods.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will likely increase slightly upon the full 1.0 release to reflect the large amount of new content, areas, and features added during the Early Access period. Buying the game now is the best way to support development at a discount.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am incredibly active in the Steam Community Forums and on TikTok (@bloomsteadgame). I read every single comment, suggestion, and bug report. Community feedback will directly influence my development roadmap and decide which features get added to the game next.”

Welcome to your new life in Bloomstead.
Developed by a solo indie developer, Bloomstead is a cozy, top-down pixel-art RPG where you are in charge of building a thriving farm from the ground up. Leave the stressful city behind, grab your trusty hoe, and turn an empty plot of land into a bustling agricultural empire.

🌱 Grow Your Dream Farm
Buy seeds from the General Store, till the earth, and water your plants daily. Watch as your potatoes, blueberries, cabbage, and more grow over time. Once they are ready, harvest your crops and toss them in your Shipping Bin to earn coins!

🐄 Raise Adorable Livestock
Crops aren't the only way to make a living. Visit Barnaby at the local Ranch to purchase baby chickens, cows, and pigs. Give them a safe place to sleep, watch them grow into adults, and expand your ranching empire.

🏡 A Living, Breathing Village
The village of Bloomstead isn't just a static background, it’s alive! The villagers have their own daily routines. They wake up, go to work, chat with each other, and go home to sleep when the sun goes down.

🎣 Relaxing Resource Gathering
Take a break from farming to explore the world! Grab your axe to chop down trees in the regenerating forest for wood, or equip your fishing rod and head to the beach to catch a variety of fish.

⏳ Dynamic World
Watch the world change around you with a fully integrated calendar, weather, and day/night system. The sun casts warm evening shadows before plunging the world into darkness, requiring you to use your lantern to safely navigate the night.
