What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“TON Wars is a persistent, server-authoritative space strategy game where thousands of players share one galaxy. The systems that define it - economy pacing, fleet balance, alliance warfare, expedition and Rift rewards, seasonal servers and monetization - can only be tuned properly with real players behaving in real time over weeks, not with internal testing.

The game is already fully playable and we run automated economy simulations that enforce our no-pay-to-win rules, but simulations model players, they are not players. Early Access lets us launch honestly, watch how real commanders actually play, and tune the game in public with the community instead of guessing behind closed doors.

We also plan to add content during Early Access - more late-game goals, deeper alliance diplomacy, galaxy events and more commanders - and we want the players who are already here to shape the order and the shape of those additions.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect TON Wars to stay in Early Access for roughly 6 to 12 months.

We would rather leave Early Access when the game is ready than on a fixed date. For us "ready" means that early-game pacing, fleet and defense balance, alliance warfare and the seasonal server structure have been tested and polished with real players and feel stable, and that the planned late-game content is in place. That timeline may move in either direction depending on player feedback and how much we decide to add before 1.0.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains the core of the game: a persistent galaxy, planet development, research, real-time fleets and combat, espionage, alliances with combined attacks of up to eight fleets, NPC worlds, expeditions, Rifts, 16 commanders across four races and four classes, and seasonal servers.

For the full version we plan to build on that foundation rather than change it:

- Deeper alliance play: we plan to expand diplomacy, alliance-versus-alliance objectives and shared war goals.
- Galaxy events: we plan to add universe-wide events and points of interest that create new strategic choices for exploration and expansion.
- More late-game depth: we plan more long-term goals for established empires, additional Rift content and artifacts, and further end-of-season rewards and recognition.
- More commanders and progression: we plan to add new commanders and more ways to develop the one you play.
- Presentation and clarity: we plan to keep improving the UI, battle reports, tutorial and the visual presentation of fleets, construction and the galaxy map.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of TON Wars is a complete, playable, persistent strategy game, not a prototype.

Today players can join a live seasonal server, develop their homeworld and colonize new planets, research a full tech tree, build ships and defenses, scout and raid real players, harvest debris fields, join alliances and launch combined attacks of up to eight allied fleets, besiege NPC worlds, send expeditions into deep space, run Rifts for permanent artifacts, pick from 16 commanders across four races and four classes, and compete on seasonal leaderboards.

The game already includes account progression, localization, Steam login, cross-platform play with one account on Steam and in the browser.

What still needs work is balance, clarity and long-term depth: early-game pacing, fleet and defense balance, alliance warfare, expedition and Rift rewards, late-game goals, and parts of the UI and tutorial. These systems all work, but they need real player data to be tuned well, which is exactly why we are in Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“TON Wars is free to play and we plan for it to remain free to play after Early Access. We do not plan to introduce a purchase price when the game leaves Early Access.

The game is supported by optional in-game purchases such as convenience features, cosmetics and premium currency.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“TON Wars is a persistent multiplayer game, so player behavior is our most important input. We plan to involve the community through the Steam Community Hub and discussions, our Discord server, in-game feedback and bug reports, and player surveys during and after live seasons.

We plan to publish regular development updates and patch notes explaining what changed and why, and to discuss balance changes openly before and after they ship, especially anything touching economy pacing, fleet balance, alliance warfare and monetization.

Feedback from active Early Access players will directly influence the order in which we build planned features, the tuning of existing systems and quality-of-life improvements. We want the players who are in the galaxy from day one to be able to say they helped build it.”

About This Game

The galaxy doesn't pause when you log off. Your mines dig, your research labs hum, your fleets fly - and somewhere out there, another commander is eyeing your planet. TON Wars is the classic browser space strategy you pulled all-nighters for, rebuilt for today: persistent, server-authoritative, and fair by design.

⛏ An empire that never sleeps

Develop mines, power plants and storage on your homeworld. Resources accrue in real time, 24/7 - log in to a stockpile, not a chore list. Balance energy, expand capacity, and turn one planet into a multi-world empire.

🔬 Research is the one edge nobody can steal

Climb the tech tree - energy, lasers, plasma, drives. Ships can be shot down and resources raided, but technology is forever. Long-term planning wins galaxies.

🚀 Command real fleets against real players

From nimble Light Fighters to the dreaded Reaper. Scout with 5 tiers of espionage intel, strike where it hurts, and harvest the debris fields your battles leave behind. Combat has real drama: small skirmishes can produce upsets, massive fleet clashes stay predictable - luck you can feel, not chaos you can't plan around.

🤝 Raid together - up to 8 fleets, one battle

Join an alliance with shared diplomacy, treasury and bonuses. Coordinate combined attacks where up to eight allied fleets hit a single target as one armada and split the loot. The strongest empires are built on friends.

🏴 Conquer wild worlds, brave the unknown

NPC worlds won't just roll over - grind down their loyalty in a proper siege before you plant your flag. Send expeditions into deep space for riches or ruin. Dive into Rifts, roguelike runs that forge permanent artifacts for your empire.

🧬 16 heroes, one destiny

Four races, four classes - pick a commander whose perks bend your whole strategy: economist, warlord, explorer, spymaster. Your hero, your playstyle.

⚖️ Fair by design - enforced, not promised

No pay-to-win. Not as a slogan - as an engineering constraint. Premium currency buys convenience (speed-ups, extra queue slots, cosmetics), never raw power: no resource packs, no ship bundles, no loot boxes. Our economy is continuously verified by automated simulations that cap how far paying can ever get anyone ahead. Skill and strategy decide who rules the galaxy.

🌌 One account, everywhere

Play on Steam, continue in your browser, get raid alerts on your phone. Fresh seasonal servers mean there's always a new galaxy where everyone starts equal.

Thousands of commanders are already fighting for dominance. Your planet awaits.
