About This Game

SINSTRUCK is a first-person co-op survival horror for 2 to 4 players. Nothing hunts you here. It doesn't need to.

Your Assignment

Earth is dying from climate change. The heat is unbearable, the water is running out, and S.E.E. has found somewhere new. You and your crew have been selected to survive on the planet Gaia. You were chosen for your cooperation, and your file doesn't mention questions.

Survive

Gaia gives you what you need to stay alive, and it costs her something every time you take it. Stay together, split up, work out what she wants. Just don't assume she hasn't noticed what you've done so far.

Don't Go Alone

Your crew is the only thing on this planet you can rely on. Talk to each other, look out for each other, and keep an eye on each other. Something is keeping count of what each of you has done, and people don't always agree on who should be leaving.

Built Like a Memory

SINSTRUCK is low-poly and PS1-era on purpose. The nostalgia is real, and it makes everything feel slightly wrong in a way that's hard to explain.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

SINSTRUCK is a psychological horror game with graphic depictions of animal death and body horror. It is rendered in a low-poly retro style.

Animal killing. To survive, players must hunt and kill an animal, then skin it and use the hide to build shelter. The kill is animated in close first person and is bloody and graphic. Blood, exposed muscle and open wounds are shown on the animal and on the player's hands and body.

Body horror. Felled trees are shown as living things: the bark opens, impacts are wet, and stumps look like a cross-section of a body. Later in the game, an animal the crew killed returns skinned, with its wound still open.

Injury and death. Players can be injured, and can die from injury or from their own rising insanity. Death is shown from a first person perspective.

Psychological content. The game centres on guilt. As players harm the world, their character's mental state deteriorates, with distorted visuals, warped audio, hallucinations, and sudden accusing text that appears on screen with loud, distorted sound. Players who are sensitive to jump scares, sudden loud noise or disturbing imagery should be aware of this.

The game contains no sexual content, no depictions of drug or alcohol abuse, and no depictions of sexual violence.
