About This Demo

The Nine Winters Demo is about gathering supplies in a ruined city and living out of a shelter.

Head outside during the day to look for food and materials. Back at the shelter, you can cook, repair damaged parts, and craft what you need. You can also change the wallpaper and flooring or place furniture around the shelter.

Explore the city

Search residential areas, shopping districts, industrial zones, and the slums. Choose where to go and bring the tools you need. You can bring back food, repair materials, and supplies for crafting.

You can revisit places you have already explored. Search the slums several times to gain access to deeper areas.

Repair and decorate your shelter

You can live in places such as a container, a bus, or a rooftop room. Set up heating and repair anything that is broken. Change the wallpaper and flooring, and arrange your furniture yourself.

Use materials from your expeditions to craft furniture or repair what you already have.

There is plenty to do at home

Cook food, heat water, and craft the things you need. Repair old furniture or pack what you need for your next trip outside.

A stray cat may occasionally show up. You can feed it, and later it may stay with you.

Prepare for winter

As the weather gets colder, heating and food become more important. Gather what you need and repair your shelter before winter arrives.

The demo can be played through the first winter.

The full game will include more areas to explore and more shelters to live in.
