What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Blackout Route is an independent survival game focused on exploration, survival, and uncovering what is happening in the world around the player.

We are choosing Early Access because we want to develop the game together with the community. Player feedback will help us improve gameplay, balance, atmosphere, and various game systems.

At the time of Early Access launch, the game will already provide a solid survival experience, while some features and content will still be in development.

We want to listen to our players, regularly fix issues, and gradually expand Blackout Route throughout development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Blackout Route to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months.

This is an estimated timeframe and may change depending on development progress, community feedback, and the scope of additional features we decide to introduce.

Our priority is not to rush the full release, but to release the game when it is ready to provide a complete and polished survival experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will serve as the foundation for the continued development of Blackout Route.

As development progresses, we plan to expand the world with new locations, items, gameplay mechanics, and environmental elements.

We also plan to improve survival systems, progression, exploration, balance, and overall quality of life.

Some parts of the game may change or be redesigned based on player feedback and testing.

Our goal is to evolve the Early Access version into a larger, more atmospheric, and more polished survival experience by the time of the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Blackout Route is currently in active development.

The Early Access version will include the core gameplay systems required for survival and exploration. Players will be able to explore available areas, gather essential resources, and interact with the world around them.

Some systems, locations, and content may still be at different stages of development.

Players may encounter bugs, balance issues, or temporarily unfinished elements. We will continue fixing issues and improving the game throughout development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect the price of Blackout Route may change after leaving Early Access.

As more content and features are added and the overall quality of the game improves, the price may be adjusted accordingly.

We want the Early Access price to reflect the current state and amount of available content, while ensuring that players who support the game early receive value from their participation.

We will communicate any significant price changes in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to actively communicate with the community throughout Early Access.

We will collect player feedback, review suggestions and bug reports, and use this information to help improve the game.

We plan to share important changes, updates, and new features through Steam announcements and other official channels.

Community feedback will be especially valuable when balancing gameplay, improving existing systems, and deciding development priorities.”

About This Game

The Signal controls the world. You are part of the Resistance.

SHUT DOWN THE SIGNAL — AND MAKE IT BACK.

The main objective of every raid is to locate and shut down a Signal belonging to the Synchronization Network.

Once the Signal is disabled, the Network detects your presence and activates its destruction protocol.

Every raid takes you to a new location where Signals are still active.

CHOOSE YOUR ROUTE AND VENTURE INTO INFECTED ZONES.

THE CAMP

This is the Resistance’s base of operations.

Here, you can sell the loot you find to traders, salvage resources, craft new gear, and prepare for your next run.

Upgrade and defend your base against raids by the Network’s Agents.

The Synchronization Network never forgets those who interfere with its operations.

Sometimes, the Signals will track down your hideout, and Network Agents will attack your camp — forcing you to defend everything you’ve built.

Fortify your base and be ready for an assault.

THE RESISTANCE STARTS WITH YOU.
