Why Early Access?

“Comic Shop Tycoon is already being built around a playable day to day shop experience, but I want player feedback to help shape how the game grows. Early Access gives me a chance to see how people actually run their stores, what systems they enjoy most, and where the game needs more depth or polish while I continue adding content and improving the experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Comic Shop Tycoon to remain in Early Access for around 12 to 18 months. This is only an estimate and may change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to build on the Early Access foundation with more content, more ways to customize and expand your store, additional products and progression, and continued improvements to customers, balance, quality of life, and overall polish. The exact scope may change as development continues and I learn from player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version has the core Comic Shop Tycoon gameplay loop in place. Players can run the store day by day, order inventory, receive and unpack deliveries, stock shelves, set prices, serve customers at the register, manage money, unlock new products, and grow the shop over time.

The game also includes progression, store upgrades and customization, saving and loading, and end of day reports. Early Access will focus on expanding the amount of content available and continuing to improve balance, polish, customer behavior, and the overall experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I currently plan for the Early Access price to be lower than the eventual full release price. The price may increase as more content and features are added during development. Any planned price changes will be communicated ahead of time.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback will be an important part of Early Access development. I plan to follow feedback through Steam discussions, reviews, bug reports, and comments from players to see what is working well and what needs improvement.

Feedback on balance, progression, store management, customer behavior, new content, and quality of life improvements will help guide development. I also plan to share updates as development continues so players can see what is changing and what I am working on.”
