Dude, Trust Me

Three friends walk into a certain wonderland. One of you goes blind, one goes deaf, one loses their voice, and the way out is a run of puzzles in which nobody holds more than a third of any answer.

So you describe it wrong. You guess. You try to explain a color to someone who cannot see one, and your hands are on something while your friend across the room is reading the very symbol you need. Somebody drops a "dude, trust me", and the one who has to decide is you.

Pick your role

• BLIND, the Hands. The world is white outlines in the dark: no color, no writing. In return, only your hands read braille and tell shapes apart, so everyone is counting on you. You hear and you speak, so say out loud what your hands just found.

• DEAF, the Eyes. You do not hear a word your friends are saying, and you are the only one who sees the room as it really is. Start talking, and hope somebody is listening.

• MUTE, the Brain. You are the only one who can read the Escape Guide, except that without what the Blind just felt and what the Deaf can see, the book is useless to you. And once you do know, you will not get a single word of it out. You answer in emotes alone, and the Blind cannot see emotes.

The mess is the whole point

Nobody hands you a ready made sign language. You invent one together, garble it, and slowly get better at it. Half of a run is somebody describing something else entirely with total confidence. The other half is the moment it all clicks and all three of you move at once.
