What is Priestes of Hanafuda?

A roguelite action game where you fight using the power of Hanafuda.

Defeat enemies with a variety of actions that bring Hanafuda to life, then use the cards you collect to strengthen Miko.

When you face the Goko waiting deep within the labyrinth, the game shifts into a 3D space for a dynamic Hanafuda battle.

Build Hanafuda “Yaku” combinations from the cards you have collected and use their power to seal away all of the Yokai.

🎴 Begin Your Journey with a Goko Style

At the start of each run, you can choose one of five Goko Styles: Pine, Cherry Blossom, Susuki, Rain, or Paulownia.

Each Goko has its own abilities and combat style, ranging from close-range fighters to characters specializing in ranged attacks.

You can also acquire additional Goko Styles at specific points throughout the labyrinth, changing Miko's entire combat style.

Goko Styles can be stacked multiple times, allowing you to specialize in a single style or combine different styles, such as ranged + melee, to create a variety of builds.

🎴 Collect Hanafuda and Grow Stronger

After defeating all the enemies in a labyrinth room, choose one card from three randomly presented Hanafuda cards.

Each of the twelve months has its own characteristics, and the cards you collect determine which abilities are strengthened.

Combine the powers of the Hanafuda you collect to create your own unique build.

🎴 Face Boss Battles with a Different Kind of Gameplay

The battle against the Goko Yokai waiting deep within the labyrinth is divided into two phases, featuring two different types of gameplay: action combat and Hanafuda.

◆ Phase 1 — Fight the Boss with the Power of Hanafuda

The Goko bosses, released from Hanafuda as Corrupted Hanafuda, unleash a variety of attacks inspired by the cards they came from.

In the first phase, use the Goko Styles you have collected throughout the labyrinth to fight the boss and deplete its shield.

◆ Phase 2 — Build Yaku with the Cards You Collected

The battle then shifts into a Hanafuda battle set in 3D space.

Rather than a traditional Hanafuda match where you compete to capture cards from your opponent, this is a single-player Hanafuda battle where you build “Yaku” combinations from the cards collected throughout the labyrinth and use them to attack the boss.

Which cards you collect and how you combine them are key to victory, both as you explore the labyrinth and when you face its bosses.

If you fail to complete a Yaku, you enter Sudden Death Mode. Sacrifice your HP to draw new cards—the Hanafuda battle will not end until you complete a Yaku.

How much HP will you spend to draw more cards? Which Yaku will you aim for?

Take calculated risks and unleash the power of Hanafuda.

🎴 A Different Dungeon Every Run

The labyrinth is different every time you play.

Choose your path, explore a variety of rooms, fight enemies, and collect Hanafuda along the way.

Which room will you enter? Which card will you choose?

Make decisions based on the situation and create a build unique to each run.

The game ends when you defeat all the bosses or Miko's HP reaches zero.

The Hanafuda and upgrades collected during the run are reset, but the items you collect can be used to permanently strengthen certain abilities.

🎴 Story

“Corrupted Hanafuda” has begun spilling out from the cards.

You take on the role of Miko, sealing the Corrupted Hanafuda back into their cards.

As you gather Hanafuda and build your power, seal away the source of the corruption—the Goko Yokai—and restore the broken Hanafuda to their original forms.
