How much horror can fit between START and the end credits?

The World's Shortest Horror Game is a bite-sized horror-comedy game that lasts only a few minutes. It gives you one simple task:

Press the button.

Take your seat. Put on your headphones. Check the volume. Look at the button. Decide that you're ready. Realize that you aren't.

Press it anyway.

Saying any more would spoil half the game. For now, all you need to know is that it involves analog horror, maliciously timed audio, one nasty surprise, and an end-credit sequence that takes the whole thing far too seriously.

This is a microgame. It is not a traditional, full-length horror adventure. It was made to be played in minutes, passed around between friends, streamed for reactions, or sent as a tiny prank disguised as a gift.
