Why Early Access?

“The cats have had plenty of practice in our yard. We’re ready to see what happens in yours.

Playtesting has shaped Cute Kitty WAR throughout development. Early Access gives more players a chance to experiment with builds, tackle the danger levels, and defend the yard together. We want that feedback to help shape the balance, challenge, and co-op experience as we work toward version 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect six months to a year. That estimate may change as development progresses and we respond to player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our priorities for version 1.0 are to:

Refine character, weapon, and difficulty balance.

Improve the pacing and presentation of the endless mode.

Add Steam achievements based on the game’s existing deeds and journeys.

Explore additional creatures, items, and surprises.

These plans may evolve as we learn from players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build includes the complete 12-wave run, playable solo or in 1–4 player couch co-op, plus:

48 cats, 97 weapons, and 171 items.

143+ creatures, including 10 bosses.

Six danger levels and an escalating storm system.

Kittain’s Log and the unlockable endless mode beyond the fence.

Balance and presentation are still being refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to keep the same price when the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Tell us about your runs through Steam Discussions and reviews: the builds you loved, the choices that felt unhelpful, and the moments that made your whole couch react.

We plan to use that feedback to guide development and share regular updates with clear patch notes. The Command, our companion guide, provides detailed information for players who want to explore the game’s systems.

About This Game

The yard is under attack. The cats were napping there.

The pests have arrived. They’re adorable. They’re completely out of line.

Cute Kitty WAR is an arena survival game about defending a backyard with an increasingly unreasonable collection of weapons. Fight through 12 waves, turn your haul into a powerful build, and hold the fence against a neighborhood’s worth of trouble.

The cats would like their yard back.

Find your favorite cat. Discover your next ridiculous build.

Choose from 48 playable cats, each with distinct abilities, starting gear, and a journey to complete. Become a bruiser, build a gunner’s arsenal, or put a gardener in charge of an expanding network of defenses.

Between waves, shop for combinations that bring your strategy to life. With 97 weapons across 18 classes and 171 items, there’s room to experiment with pets, pacts, curious equipment, and a deeply questionable amount of luck.

Which purchase will pull your build together? Which cat will you try next?

Bring the whole neighborhood watch.

Play solo or gather up to four players for couch co-op. Pick your cats, build your arsenals, and face the invasion together. Co-op offers a more forgiving challenge, giving friends and family room to join the defense.

There are enough pests for everyone.

Weather the storm. Learn the enemy.

Face 143+ creatures, including 10 bosses, while storms transform the yard around you. Rain sweeps across the grass, wind carries trouble, lightning strikes, and ponds flood through five escalating weather levels.

Learn attack patterns, watch for warnings, and find your way through the mayhem. Ready for a tougher watch? Climb six danger levels, with twin bosses waiting at Danger 5.

Record your discoveries and fill the trophy wall in Kittain’s Log. The yard has quite a few residents worth remembering.

The fence is only the beginning.

Survive all 12 waves to unlock an endless mode where the yard’s folklore comes calling. Set the pace as its creatures arrive, from the weakest to the strongest, and discover how far your build can take you.

Something waits at the end of that procession.
