Change the endings of two connected tales

Begin in an unfamiliar study, then move between a detective's mystery and a hungry fox's fable. The Tale'Switch demo includes the opening and two story puzzles connected by shared clues.

Read the letter on the study’s desk to collect the detective’s and fox’s names. Place their name cards on the book’s cover and use clues from the objects you investigate to unlock their stories.

• Solve the mystery. Unlock the detective's story, compare the evidence in the mansion, and uncover the truth behind the case.
  
• Make the fox happy. Change the words of a hungry fox's tale so it can find food and leave the forest safely.

An object found in one story may become an unexpected answer in another. Investigate locations and read short object records to find those connections.

The demo ends after you have read both successful outcomes. The witch's story and the stories of the characters encountered afterwards cannot be unlocked in this demo. Korean, English, and Japanese text is supported. Play with a keyboard and mouse.

Generative AI tools were used during development for some character, object, background and UI artwork, textures, and promotional illustrations, including Steam store images and the trailer end card. AI assistance was also used for some narrative text and localization. The game uses prepared assets and text; it does not generate AI content or connect to AI services during gameplay.

Contains non-graphic text about death, a poisoning case, confinement, and betrayal. A hungry character experiences hallucinations and dies after eating. A detective considers possible knife wounds and bruises while investigating a death, but there are no graphic injury or gore illustrations. Knives, an axe, and dark, somber environments appear. Retired background artwork showing a wine glass is included in the files but is not used in the current normal story progression.
