A refuge begins with a tended fire

Once an adventurer, now a Shrinekeeper. Restore a forgotten shrine and turn its cold ruins into a place of warmth, useful work, and quiet rest. The Last Shrinekeeper is an atmospheric building and crafting game set in a melancholy fantasy world.

Restore the shrine

Gather materials from the surrounding grounds, repair ruined foundations, and make room for workshops, gardens, and everyday life. Each restoration gives the shrine a new purpose and the people who shelter there another reason to stay.

Make yourself useful

Craft supplies, tend crop beds, and work with resident specialists. Help a mason and a blacksmith establish their workshops, prepare materials for their work, and meet the needs of travelers passing through.

Care for those who stop here

Adventurers arrive with their own burdens and journeys. Offer rest, supplies, and repaired equipment as they recover and prepare to leave. Your care can earn their trust, but their journey remains their own.

Bring warmth back to an ancient place

Explore the shrine grounds at your own pace. Tend the Votive Ember and watch an abandoned sanctuary become a living refuge, one small act of care at a time.

Venture beyond the refuge

Progression also takes you away from the shrine and into distinct dungeon locations. Face enemies in turn-based combat as a necessary part of your journey, then return to continue your work at the shrine.
