Step into 1980s Korea for the ultimate retro alleyway chase!

Long before video games, children in 1970s–80s Korea ruled the alleyways with a high-stakes team game of tag called DABANGGU.

Taggers capture runners and hold them at base while the remaining runners fight to stay free. Wait for an opening, reach the base, and shout “Dabanggu!” to pull off a dramatic jailbreak and free your captured teammates.

Disguise yourself as familiar street props such as benches, flowerpots, and garbage bags, or reveal your position with a cheeky whistle to taunt the taggers. Just remember: when the final minute begins, Booster Time makes every tagger faster.

A Letter from the Developer

Hello! I am a solo developer and lifelong game fan. I created DABANGGU with the help of AI tools because I wanted to introduce more people to the alleyway games played by Korean children in the 1970s and 1980s.

There is still room for DABANGGU to grow, and I plan to keep improving its stability and polish. I will also continue exploring future alley maps inspired by the beauty of Korea and places loved by local communities.

If there is an alley or neighborhood from your country that you would love to share, please tell me through the Steam Community or the map-suggestion channel in the official Discord linked on the Game Website. Your suggestions may be considered as inspiration and reference material for future maps.
