Why Early Access?

“CRETA: Taskbar Fishing already offers a playable experience built around its core gameplay loop and main progression systems. However, as an independent developer, I would rather continue developing the game with feedback from real players than complete it entirely from my own perspective.
During Early Access, I will continue improving balance, performance, user experience, and content variety. Understanding which systems players enjoy, where they encounter difficulties, and which areas could be improved will play an important role in shaping CRETA’s development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is currently expected to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. However, this estimate may change depending on the development process and the feedback received from players.
CRETA will leave Early Access when its main systems feel sufficiently mature, its content and balance are ready, and the overall experience reaches a level that feels suitable for a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to provide a more balanced, polished, and expanded experience. Fish collection, professions, equipment, shack progression, and region advancement will continue to be refined based on player feedback.
Additional content, improved performance, a better user experience, accessibility options, and stronger connections between the existing systems are also planned. These plans may evolve throughout development in response to community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently provides a playable core experience. Players can follow their fisherman on the taskbar, catch fish, expand their collections, develop equipment and professions, upgrade their shack, and unlock new regions.
The main gameplay loop is functional, while work continues on balance, performance, interface improvements, content variety, and long-term progression.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access price is planned to be lower than the price of the full release. As the game expands with additional content and improved systems, a gradual price increase may be considered.
Players will be informed in advance before any price change is made.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback regarding bugs, balance, user experience, and possible new content will be reviewed regularly.
Suggestions that are frequently requested by the community and fit CRETA’s core design may be incorporated into the development plan. Development will focus not simply on adding more features, but on making the systems players genuinely enjoy stronger, clearer, and more satisfying.”
