About This Game

One screen. Two machines.

Your ranch runs across the top of the screen. The lane runs across the bottom. Up top you build a production line — spawn crates, conveyors, Element Baths, berry feeders — that breeds and buffs monsters. Down below, those monsters hold the wall against the shadow waves pouring out of the rift.

Everything you build up top is something that walks down there and fights. Throughput is power.

Breed the line, then live with it

  • 50 breedable species across five tiers, grown from four starters through a 46-recipe breeding tree.
  • Element Baths, feeders and conveyors that buff what passes through them — the route a monster takes is the monster you get.
  • Deaths are permanent. Anything that falls in the lane is gone, and the line has to make up the difference.

Retool between every wave

Between rounds you get the next wave's composition in advance, and a test bench to try things on. Rebuild the line against what's actually coming — then hit START and watch whether you were right.

  • Wave previews so every retool is a real decision, not a guess.
  • Rift debris blocking your board — pay essence to clear it, or feed critters into it.
  • Castle upgrades and a run-buff tracker to lean on when the line isn't enough.

Hold fifteen rounds, seal the rift

Survive fifteen rounds and you seal the rift and bank a victory — or push on into Endless and see how far the line carries you. Rotating bosses headline the late waves, including the Gravetide Empress, the Rot Matron and the armoured Void Colossus.

  • Three difficulty modes — Cozy Rancher, Rancher and Nightmare Shift.
  • Penny's Goal Board — twelve session goals with rewards.
  • A 12-track original soundtrack with an in-game jukebox.

Hand-made pixel art

Every species, machine and shadow is hand-authored pixel art at a crisp 640x360, built in Godot 4.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some of this game's 2D art assets — creature, machine, prop and building sprites — were produced with the assistance of generative AI image tools during development. All generated material was reviewed, edited and hand-finished by our artists before it shipped, and it is integrated as fixed, pre-rendered art. The game does not generate any content live while you play.
