About This Game

High Stakes is a strategic roguelike card game about risk, combinations, and the question: How many cards in a row can you predict?

Combine multiple predictions for the same card to increase your odds. But your predictions are limited.

Manipulate your deck, collect powerful stakes, use chips at the perfect moment, and develop new strategies with every run.

Strategy Over Luck

Will the next card be higher or lower? Red or black? Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, or Spades?

You decide not only what you predict, but also how much you risk.

Combine multiple predictions if you absolutely have to be right - or bet on just one possibility and save your remaining predictions for later.

The further the stage progresses, the more important each decision becomes.

Stakes

In the shop, you’ll find powerful Stakes - wildcards, jokers, special cards… call them whatever you like!

They can change the rules, enable new synergies, or form the foundation of your entire build.

Combine unique Stakes and develop your very own strategy.

Chips

If you discover a holographic card and then make the correct prediction, you’ll receive a Chip.

Use chips exactly when you need them most to gain an advantage at the decisive moment.

Trumps

Every correct prediction earns you points and increases your multiplier.

Reach score milestones and choose from several Trumps that boost your run with powerful rewards and special effects.

The Shop

After completing each stage, you’ll earn Tokens.

Buy chips, add new cards to your deck, or discover powerful stakes and prepare for the challenges ahead.

Boss Stages

Every fourth stage features a Boss.

Each Boss changes the rules of the game in its own way, forcing you to adapt your strategy on the fly.
