Why Early Access?

“The core of the game is finished and playable - what is left is to create more content. Early Access allows us to gather and act upon player feedback as we are building out the game. It also enables us to validate the game on a lot more hardware configurations than we could test in-house.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly a year, depending on how quickly we get through the planned content. We'd rather take longer than ship 1.0 half-finished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core of the game won't change fundamentally. For the full version we plan to add more levels and game modes, improve game mechanics based on community feedback and polish the overall experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Launching with the tutorial, the home base Hoard, 2 full heists and a bonus level — with full online co-op from day one.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During early access the game is available at a discounted price”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're on Discord and in the Steam Discussions, and we check both. Most useful to us: bug reports and telling us which parts of the game feel bad to play — that's harder for us to see from the inside than feature requests. We can't act on everything, but jump and crouch, for example, both came out of player requests.”

About This Game

You lost your ship, your crew and your life. You are offered a contract to fight and rob the Evil Trade Empire for a chance at redemption.

Now you must prove yourself worthy in Pirate Purgatory. Skeleton Crew is a solo or two-player co-op game of pirate heists.

Complete daring missions with your own crew of skeletons — and a friend, if you want to bring one. Fill your hoard with the Trophies you recover.

Full-Body Physicality & Improvised Combat Your pirate is a physical body in the world — climb, swing, and feel the recoil of every shot. Out of bullets? Smash your enemies with the butt of your pistol – until it breaks.

Two-Player Online Co-Op Go in solo or drag your best friend into the afterlife with you. Two players by invite only.

A Crew of Your Own Your gun crew is a pack of skeletons. Put them on the cannons, line up the shot yourself, and give the word.

A Target, No Fixed Route Some missions want treasure. Some want a ship caught at sea. How you get there is your problem.
