About This Game

Your desktop has company.

A tomato with legs, a cactus, a mug, and their friends have decided to explore your screen. Animation.exe is a Windows desktop companion game where a little animated cast turns windows, your cursor, and the spaces around them into places to play.

A little cast. Plenty to discover.

Meet Tomate Tico, Cacto Massinha, Clipe Clippy, Caneca Nino, Vaso Folha, and Pelúcia: a tomato, a cactus, a paperclip, a mug, a leafy plant, and a plush companion. Choose your favorites and keep one to six characters on screen. Watch them walk, jump, explore different heights, and come together for a little rain dance during your day.

Your cursor can join in, too.

When an invitation appears, click Play to take part. Guide a kite with your cursor while a character holds its string. Prefer to watch? Let the scene unfold on its own. Ready to step away? Click Stop and hand control back to your companion.

Even a short break can become a campout.

A little fire, a marshmallow, and a corner of your desktop set the scene. Watch the campout and discover other playful moments, including fishing, window rides, surfing, window washing, and a remote-control plane. There are 13 playful activities, using your desktop as their stage, with actions and reactions to watch along the way.

Make room for your day.

Choose the interval between automatic activities, set the number of active characters, and turn play invitations on or off. Adjust sound and volume, enable reduced motion, set quiet hours, or pause the game. You can also have activities pause while another application is fullscreen.

Some character models, textures, animations, and visual props were created before release using generative AI tools, including Meshy image-to-3D, auto-rigging, and animation. Selected outputs were edited, integrated, and reviewed by the developer. Generative AI also assisted in drafting and refining portions of the Steam store-page text. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services.
