What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Adventure Reznara is built around discovery: travelling an open world, making choices in strange encounters, developing a character build, and finding your own path through its regions. Early Access lets us see which journeys, quests, combat choices, and discoveries players connect with most, then expand the world with that feedback in mind.

We want to develop Reznara alongside the people exploring it, not just balance it in isolation. Player feedback will help us refine the pacing of travel and combat, improve accessibility and presentation, and decide which new quests, classes, encounters, regions, events, and progression options should come next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Adventure Reznara to be in Early Access for around 12 months.

That is a target rather than a rigid promise: we want to release a complete, polished RPG experience, and will take the time needed to make the world, its stories, and its systems feel worthy of a 1.0 release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to offer a broader, deeper, and more polished journey through Reznara. We plan to expand the world’s authored stories, repeatable adventures, rare encounters, equipment, enemies, character progression, achievements, and discoveries.

We also plan to continue improving the core experience: combat balance and variety, travel and exploration, interface clarity, accessibility options, visual presentation, audio, and the consequences of player choices. The goal is for version 1.0 to feel like a complete open-world adventure with many reasons to begin another journey. With no two playthroughs the same.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access build is a playable alpha vertical slice of Adventure Reznara. Players can create a Human, Elf, or Dwarf adventurer; choose Mage, Ranger, or Warrior; and play in Normal or Permadeath mode.

The game currently includes six connected regions and 24 explorable sites, turn-based combat, class abilities, Soulsteal, equipment and consumables, shops and local services, persistent saves, quests, radiant adventures, weather, day and night, rare encounters, achievements, and a world that remains open after the main regional stories.

The game is actively evolving. Expect further work on content, balance, encounters, presentation, and polish throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently have no plans to raise the price when Adventure Reznara leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will use Steam Community discussions, announcements, and our community channels (such as the 5 Years Now Discord server) to share development updates, collect bug reports, and discuss player feedback.

We are especially interested in hearing about combat balance, favourite encounters and quests, clarity of the interface, accessibility, and the kinds of adventures players would like to find in Reznara. Community feedback will help shape priorities during development, while keeping the game’s world and direction cohesive.”

About This Game

Adventure Reznara is a persistent, text-led open-world RPG roguelike set in the same Reznara universe as Ascending

Realms.

Begin at the riverbound crossroads of Rivergate and make a life on the road. Create your adventurer,

choose a people and class, uncover new routes, take on regional stories and repeatable work, and decide

how to meet the dangers waiting beyond the next signpost.

Reznara is not a world you simply clear and leave behind. Its roads take time. Weather changes. Camps

offer respite. Discoveries, quests, equipment, achievements, and consequences persist as your journey

grows.

Explore six connected regions each with its own people, sites, threats, rewards, atmosphere, and secrets.

Travel through forests, shrines, workshops, quays, tunnels, fortresses, and old roads; meet travellers and

merchants; investigate strange relics; and encounter everything from wild creatures to Skinwalkers, rifts,

and eclipses.

- Travel carefully: journeys span multiple days, road encounters can interrupt your plans, and camping can

be the difference between arriving prepared or arriving wounded.

- Choose Normal mode for a forgiving adventure or Permadeath for a harsher road.

Every choice begins with a scene, a piece of text, and a small set of possibilities. The road ahead is

yours to read... and yours to survive.
