About This Game

For years, a tiny clearing at the heart of the continent belonged to none of the four kingdoms. It was so small and useless that nobody cared about it.

Then one day, a wooden sign appeared.

“SEEKING THE RIGHTFUL OWNER.”

The Blue King insisted it obviously meant him. The Red King argued that since he had found the sign first, the land was his. That afternoon, the Yellow Kingdom sent the other three kingdoms bills for overdue land taxes. The Purple King had won nothing yet, but had already begun composing a victory anthem.

The four kings held a peace summit to avoid war. Surprisingly, it lasted a full seven minutes.

Then the last strawberry tart in the meeting room disappeared.

Blue suspected Red. Red blamed Yellow. Yellow placed an emergency tax on the tart. Purple tried to admit that he had eaten it, but by then chairs were already flying.

The soldiers outside mistook the noise for a declaration of war. By that point, the kings were too embarrassed to tell them otherwise.

And so the war of the four kingdoms began.

In fact, the back of the sign carried a message in tiny letters:

“A brown goat is being kept safe.

Owner, please report to the lost-and-found.”

The sign had been looking for the goat’s owner, not the continent’s ruler.

But nobody has turned it around yet.
