What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“From developing our previous simulator games, we've learned that player feedback is especially valuable when several gameplay systems need to work together.

In Aqua Factory Simulator, aquatic farming, production, automation, store management, and co-op all influence the player's experience. Early Access gives us the opportunity to see how players use these systems, identify confusing or repetitive parts, and improve them before the full release.

We want to develop the game with the community while staying true to its core direction.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current working estimate is approximately 4 to 6 months in Early Access. This is a provisional target, not a confirmed release window.

The duration may change depending on development progress, player feedback, and the scope of improvements we can realistically complete. We want to focus on making the existing gameplay more stable and enjoyable rather than treating the estimate as a fixed deadline.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We would like the full version to offer a broader and more refined aquatic factory experience. Some areas we are considering include:

1. Greater variety in aquatic resources and processed products.
2. More options for production machines and automation.
3. Further development of environmental restoration activities and equipment.
4. Additional opportunities for business progression, alongside co-op and usability improvements.

These are possible development directions, not confirmed features or a fixed roadmap. Their scope may change, and some ideas may be postponed or not implemented, depending on feasibility, testing, and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Aqua Factory Simulator is being developed for Early Access around its core gameplay of managing an aquatic production business. This includes gathering and farming aquatic resources, processing them through production machines, setting up automation, and selling products through the store. Co-op and environmental restoration are also part of the experience we are developing.

At this stage, we expect the available resources, machines, restoration activities, and progression to be limited compared with our broader vision for the game. The exact content of the initial Early Access version is still subject to testing and adjustment.

We plan to refine these systems over time to improve usability, balancing, and the overall gameplay experience. Community feedback will help us identify priorities, while we consider what is feasible and aligned with the game's direction.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We aim for the Early Access price to reflect the content and quality available at that stage.

Depending on how the game develops and what is delivered, we may review the price before or at full release. No price increase is guaranteed, and any change would be communicated through Steam.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want players to be part of Aqua Factory Simulator's development throughout Early Access. To make it easy to share ideas and report issues, we'll use several feedback channels:

1. Gameplay suggestions and feature discussions in the Steam Community
2. Feedback submitted through in-game tools
3. Bug reports through Steam Discussions or the in-game reporting system

We'll consider community suggestions carefully, including whether they're practical to implement and support the game's overall vision. With this input, we aim to improve existing systems, resolve issues, and deliver a more enjoyable aquatic factory experience for full release.”
