Frontlines is a singleplayer roguelike campaign mode for Sköllorn. You pick a commander, plot a route through a sector of sixteen battles, and try to come out the other side.

WIN A FIGHT, TAKE A DOCTRINE

After every battle you're offered three boons, from smaller buffs to new mechanics for your abilities. You choose your boon and it's yours for the rest of the run, and it stacks with everything you've already taken.

There are three levels of difficulty to select from, each providing a harder start and more advantages to your enemies.

THE ENEMY DRAFTS TOO

Clearing a Front doesn't just reward you. The wheel spins, and the sector takes a card of its own — stacking buffs against you. You may find the very same game breaking boons available to you in the hands of your opponent!

LOSING IS PART OF IT

Lose a battle and you don't get waved past it. You draft, and you fight the same battle again on fresh ground and a new advantage — a wall is answered by getting stronger, not by being let through. Three losses ends the run.

Between fights you spend Supply: more opening units, an extra doctrine, or a re-roll when all three offers are wrong.
