RuneEra is a fantasy colony-management RPG where you establish a guild settlement, shape its members through powerful runes, and send parties into a procedurally generated world.

Automate work and production, balance the needs of your growing guild, gather mana, and take command when events, quests and dungeon expeditions become dangerous.

Build a Living Settlement

Transform the wilderness into a self-sufficient home. Gather resources, construct specialized rooms, organize storage, and establish production chains for food, equipment and medicine.

Grow seasonal crops, ensure they are watered and fertilized, for good harvest. Tame wild animals, manage breeding populations, and maintain reliable supplies for both your settlement and traveling caravans.

Manage Your Guild

Every guild member has different skills, job preferences, equipment, and personal needs. Assign work priorities and daily schedules while ensuring your people remain fed, rested, equipped, and ready for danger.

Create shared inventory and equipment rules to automate routine management as your guild expands. When careful coordination is required, recruit members into groups and issue direct movement, combat and ability commands.

Shape Your Party with Runes

Discover runes by completing quests and exploring dungeons. Equip removable abilities and passive effects to create specialized tanks, healers, damage dealers, workers, and crafters.

Experiment with different combinations and adapt your guild to the challenges ahead without permanently locking characters into a single role.

Harness Mana and Essence

Mana powers your abilities, magical structures, and searches for distant opportunities. Construct pylons across your territory, extract biome-specific essence, and research technologies that expand your magical capabilities.

Where you build matters: different areas offer different resources, essence types and dangers.

Explore a Procedural World

Form caravans from guild members and tamed animals, then journey across varied biomes in search of resources, quests, faction settlements, and dungeons. Pack animals provide additional storage and help expeditions travel farther.

Explore dangerous locations, confront powerful enemies, recover valuable runes, and claim new territory for additional settlements.

Deal with Other Factions

Independent factions inhabit the world alongside you. Trade with them, complete quests, rescue their people, or make them your enemies.

Maintain strong relationships to request traders and reinforcements or accept the consequences when diplomacy breaks down.

All AI-assisted content was generated before release, reviewed and curated by the developer, and edited or integrated into the final game as appropriate. RuneEra does not use AI to generate content while the game is running.
